im trying to add extra go kart cars to a pre existing ride , but for some reason i cant figure it out ... any suggestions / tips ?

ive tried editing rides with 8 cars a bunch now and i cant seem to get ANY of the editing options to do anything at all .. i must be doing something wrong? any suggestions ?
