With Six Flags Xtreme Canada long done, and Paramount Great Excursion in the vault indefinitely, it is time to move forward in my next custom park project: Fox Studios World. To be technical, despite me dubbing this my second park project, it isn't - PGE is. But since I barely started it when I went on hiatus, and here I am with a new project underway, I consider FSW my second park.

As far as I know, there has been no RCT park using the (20th Century) Fox brand, so I consider it the first time it is being done. I have great plans for this park, and can't wait to get deep into its design.

Here are a few details on what I have planned:

Themed Areas:
Star Wars Galaxy - A section of park themed to the original Star Wars trilogy (I am not a fan of the newer trilogy). My planned signature ride will be a flying rollercoaster going through the Death Star trenches much like the climactic moments in Episode 4: A New Hope (the original Star Wars movie).
Thrill Sector - This area of the park will house the bulk of the thrill rides, including my most fondest idea, Behind Enemy Lines, a propelled inverted coaster that is launched off an aircraft carrier runnings its course over the lake and edging the mountainous terrain.
Old Tyme Exposition - A non-movie themed area mainly dedicated to traditional carnival and fairground rides.
Ice Age: The Adventure - My kid's section of park themed to the popular Ice Age computer animated movie and its sequel.

Fox actually has quite a few movie titles that has potential for some good rides. Such titles I am hoping to use include: X-Men, Flight Of The Phoenix, I Robot, Cast Away, Speed, True Lies, Broken Arrow, Aliens, Predator, Die Hard, and more.

I have a few screenshots to show, but they are pretty bare since I just began construction of the park. I created my own website on FreeWebTown to host my own RCT2 site (see the banner/signature below) including all the screenshots, updates, links to each site I post in, etc.

Click on the below link to view the screenshots:

As always, feedback is always appreciated.

On a side note, my first park, Six Flags Xtreme Canada, can be downloaded from my site as well.

Cheers.
TD

That landscape is wonderful!. I especially like how realistic and layed out it is. Although, I must admit that you may have used way too many trees on that landscape!. Main restaurant looks nice, has a good building shape and the windows are placed rather good. As for the third screen, well I'll just say it's good. Anyway, keep up the good work thirstydeer!.

NOOOOO! NOT ANOTHER FOREST! SAVE THE TREES!! :puke:

Anyways, nice start. :D The entrance is a little huge in my opinion. Try removing the warehouse on the side of it, also those fountains with the ice looks kind of weird. However, the amphitheater is excellent! Nice work, and keep it up.

P.S. Trees are pretty, but you're going to make it very painstaking for you when building your park. I suggest making the landscape clear to begin with and adding the trees manually, or with a trainer, when you're finished building the park.

Now that is one of the neatest suggestions I've ever been given... to add the trees in the end with a trainer. I've never thought of that because I don't know how to use the trainers for that purpose - and I do have both 8 Cars and Son Of Beast. Adding them manually, however, will be a killer to my fingers.

The entrance is far from complete so you'll be seeing some changes there in time.

I love the resteraunt! It's very creative, and the windows look realistic. Your Xtreme Canada Park was great, and I'm not just saying that because I'm from Canada. :wait:

There's not much else to comment on quite yet, but it looks great so far!

I myself don't really like the restaurant, I find a bit bland and boring. Even a simple awning on the sides the roof slopes to would improve it.
You definitely need an awning over the main building entrance to decrese the "Garage door" look. Also, there is a lot of space covered by that main roof, throw a couple of skylights or dormers in there to break it up and make it a little more friendly.

Another note, I like the Waterfall fountains idea, but with them being so high, the ice sides don't work, try using the black wood side. Before than you might want to ask yourself if they really need to be that high, or if they would make the same statement at a lower point. You may find you like them better tall, it's just something to consider.

The Amphitheater and private group areas look nice and work well, I like the Lawn seats idea.

Hope something in all that helps.

I think there is a tree tool, i can't remember. Just make sure you make a back-up of your park if you choose to use a trainer. Nothing like an error trapper to ruin months of work. :ermm:

The walkway into the restaurant looks wierd. Those walls look so thin, expecially compared to the large building. The shape of the restaurant works, but everything is very uniform making it appear plain and boring. The mass of tent covers gives a permamnt structure a bizarre carny feel. and to further add to the mix are these icey waterfalls and fountains that match nothing else in the set up.

The ampitheater is nice. Just don't make the stage look more high tech than its surroundings (which included the light towers).

the restraunt is nice... if it were me though i'd do away with the tent top and the water falls and make the same roofs as the other parts. and i'd put the water on just one side then add more... foliage (bushes, flowers) around the other edges. the amphitheatre is very very good. i dont like the trees surrounding it... i suggest putting a few but mostly just foliage. also, try using DIRT under your paths, it looks much better! i like your ideas, they seem very promising. keep it up!
