Well, I started messing around with my Batman: The Ride recreation and ended up constructing a majority of the Gotham City areas in the Six Flags parks. This is the first park in which I'm using custom scenery. I think this time I've got enough ideas and enough roller coasters to complete a 200x200 size park - which is the biggest I've ever gone. But to start off... here's some of the Gotham City, which is still under construction.

Batman: The Ride

The ride takes place at Wayne Manor and Gotham City Park. This clone was reworked a little to be more compact. I've got the custom music set to Batman's theme from the 1990's.

For the first time you've used custom scenery, it actually looks quite nice. Lovin' that Mr. Freeze rec...really nice job there.

I don't know how big you've gone in the past, but just as a quick little thing of advice, no matter how small that plot of land looks when you start off, it ALWAYS ends up being alot bigger than you thought it was. Just keep that in mind ;), and looking forward to your next screens.

Thanks cjman. Mr. Freeze is one of my all time favorite roller coasters, and it seems no park I make is complete unless I've got a Mr. Freeze rec in it, one way or another lol.

I was hoping more so to capture Gotham City's industrious side with tons of old buildings and warehouses rather than just one aspect of Gotham as seen in all Six Flags parks. It's kind of like a "Tomorrowland" area featuring some of the more technologicly and futuristic type of attractions and scenery. Of course a great deal of Gotham is run by Batman's most evil supervillains.

BATMAN 3D, Riddler's Hideout, & Gotham Grinder
Posted Image

Since you cannot build actual stunt shows, I thought Six Flags Global was deserving of something a little more interactive... thus Batman 3D, the cornerstone of Gotham City's thrill rides, was implemented. It actually attracts steady qeue lines of at least 13 minutes, and 30 minutes or more during rain.

Riddler's Revenge is an attraction built on top of a restraunt. It serves as a kid's escape while the older crowds eat and mingle amonst themselves at Nigma Entrees. It's actually tucked away quite nicely. I thought it was pretty slick addition.

Then we've got the Gotham Grinder was just a spontaneous decision. I built the ride because at the time Gotham lacked thrill rides... and now I don't know what to do with it. It's got a theme not like any DC hero or villain would fit completely. I thought about a Catwoman type thing, but it just didn't seem right. So I was stumped and temporarily called it "Gotham Grinder." If anyone has any suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated.

BATWING, Nigma Tech Demonstrations, & Joker's Psycho Circus
Posted Image
Batwing is a minature version of Batman: The Ride - built for kids and the more easy going crowd. It has proven to actually be quite the fan favorite among the smaller attractions with a consistant 30 minute qeue time!

Nigma Tech Demonstrations is set and based on the 1995 Batman Forever movie. They're simulation rides created to demonstrate a working compatibility between technology and the human mind.

Joker's Psycho Circus is based on the late 1990's stunt show theme. As with everything in Gotham, this attraction is run by yet another underground ring leader, the Joker. Joker's Psycho Circus was built to help finance his insane and murderous personality. Guests are treated to an ominously unpredictable, yet twistedly amusing circus show.

MR. FREEZE vs. BATMAN: The Ride
Posted Image
It's no secret that Gotham is filled to the brim with Batman's most notorious foes, but none more sinister than Mr. Freeze! At the far side of Gotham City, Batman and Mr. Freeze dominate the skyline as they battle it out. So far, justice prevails as guests have come to favor Batman: The Ride more than Mr. Freeze.

Mr. Freeze shoots off through the tunnel at 80mph, rather than 70mph (due to an inconvenient lack of booster track >:I ). So the ride is super intense and nauseating, but it still manages to pull in the crowds. Of the 900 guests in the park currently 450 of them have favorited Batman: The Ride (which is now black and gray, instead of the yellow and blue), and 200 have favorited Mr. Freeze.

There are other buildings not really seen in the screens... you've got Harvey Dent's office (which eeriely glows red through the windows). I'll be puting in Gotham's Police Department, Arkham Asylum, and Gotham Subway Stations soon and that'll wrap up this area of the park.

You should rename this the complete Gotham City Park.

Awesome screens. Can tell you're really putting a lot of your time into this and that it'll turn out beautiful.

Thanks for the comments guys, I really am becoming more and more excited about this park!

Gotham Transit Station & Police Department...
Posted Image

Actually Gotham Transit is going to be apart of a huge monorail system which will connect all the different areas of the park. In each area it will be known as something esle... in Gotham, it's known as the Gotham Transit. For right now, since there aren't really any other areas in the park yet, it will only circulate around Gotham. Of course it will tour the city before returning to the station to unload guests. The retro-style trains are temporary until I have more completed areas.

Gotham P.D. is simply just a guest information building, helping to coordinate/inform guests with the area.

Ocean View Cyclone...

This is the next part in Six Flags Global. It will feature two roller coasters and an extensive fair grounds as a throwback to old times in the American amuesment park industry. The Ocean View Cyclone is the cornerstone of this area - and usually is the first roller coaster I build in most of my parks. I thought it deserved to be tributed in this project.

Six Flags parks are always fun to make. A lot of the coasters in Six Flags are simply there without any kind of theme or scenery, and the scenery in the park themselves are almost never as complex as Universal Studios or Disney theme parks. They're a good park to start out with, IMO. Usually I build "Ocean View" parks which are always modeled after Six Flags parks.

I like ocean view cyclone a lot. Really. But those supports on top of the building in screen 2 ... it just seems ugly, IMO. I hope you understand what I mean. If not, here it is: It is unrealistic and badly contrasting light blue on top of a dark building never worked out.

Overall, this is pretty decent. A few things do stand out though. Like B2 said, the supports popping out of the glass just don't work well. Also, the roof over "Gotham Grinder" is completely un-supported. Looks pretty heavy to have nothing holding it up.

I kinda like the use of the black and purple "tunnel" pieces there. Not sure what they're supposed to be but, they look ok.

Also, where you have the "church" style windows and have them look like some have lights on behind them and some off, try to maybe make some variations on the walls themselves there intsead of long, flat walls with the same windows over and over.

I like some of your ideas, but I am not a fan of the wall textures on the buildings or the windows you are using. Also, your foilage is a little monotonous, so maybe try to add some variation in height with some bushes, shorter trees, and maybe some different colours. The rest looks okay.
