When I switch between topics there seems to be a random chance that I'm loged out. I have ticked the rember me box but non of my log in details are saved when I log back in.
I am using the latest version of firefox with the cookies set to ask me every time.
The problem is particulay prevalent if I click the Ride Exchange link in the banner as this opens a new window.
any suggestions?

And clicking on the Ridex links shouldn't force a new window/tab either!

Hi maddwarf,
What you might want to do is ALLOW COKIES for this site to run at all times. That might help you from being bumped. You should have 5 little squares at the bottom of your window ,you wil have to click on each box to find the cookie settings. Once you find it then you can EXCEPT all cookies from this site. Just latter on you are just going to have to clean out your browser of all cookies, 'cause they build up fast... See if that helps it should , but make sure that you put the site in you favorites ( visited sites ). Let us know how it works out or me. You can PM me or put onther request up I will get back to you as soon as possible..........

Levis explanation is the most likely to be the cause.
If you have software that is disguising your IP address by dynamically changing it while you are connected to the net, then every time the IP address changes, the board will log you out. This is because the board has been configured so that every member can only be logged in from a single IP address at any time.
If you login from one IP address, click a few times, then your IP address changes, you get logged out.

thanks guys. I wasn't aware my IP address was being disguised. Also The site was unavailable to me a few days ago and since the site came back things seem to have been ok!

Glad to hear it's been sorted out.
The site was unavailable around end May for a while after an electrical generator outside our data center overloaded, exploded, and blew a hole in the wall. Over 17,000 servers were affected, including ours!
