in the poll, then a post explaining what ABC&D are - that is usually done in the poll without the post that requires an explanation.
Examples:

And my favorite where the Poll question is different than the post title...

...that demonstrates an understanding of how the forum polls display, and reduced redundancies.
I understand that the poll you created is functional - but there is more to polling than functionality. Did you stop to think there may have been some people who just saw letters of the alphabet and a smiley in the poll and moved on without responding or reading further - thinking someone is just fooling around? You assumed responders read the first post before taking the poll.
What is this - instead of the Letter B ? Clearly you didn't check your work. A capital 'B' followed by a closed pren results in a smiley... Not the letter I think you were looking for. Had you just put the options in the poll instead of cryptic letters - that mistake wouldn't have had the chance to happen.

And I always read the first post as it is common sense otherwise you will miss out information. Also if there is letters in the poll then you can notice then only an idiot would vote without reading the first post. And I have no problems everywhere except this silly forum with the B. That smiley should be 8) not B ) ...
There is no set way to do polls and I prefer it this way. Because I can edit my options slightly if I make a mistake. If I make a mistake in the poll then I cannot edit it. I didn't change the smiley because I HATE it when it says This post was edited by. It looks really messy and sloppy.

In your editor, click the button. Depending on which version of the editor you're using, you'll either get an automatically numbered list item, or you'll get prompted to type in each list item, and it will get formatted for you. This is especially useful if each item goes over a linebreak. The list item will be automatically indented for you. So, using your poll options:
- You use it all the time, you don't swap it to look at non modified parks
- You don't use it at all, you don't swap it to look at modified parks
- You use it to build, you swap it to look at non modified parks
- You don't use it to build, you swap it look at modified parks
- You don't know what RCT Modified is.
The default numbering is numeric but you have other options. For example:
- You use it all the time, you don't swap it to look at non modified parks
- You don't use it at all, you don't swap it to look at modified parks
- You use it to build, you swap it to look at non modified parks
- You don't use it to build, you swap it look at modified parks
- You don't know what RCT Modified is.

[list] = unnumbered bullets [list=1] = Decimal numeric [list=A] = Uppercase alphabetic [list=a] = lowercase alphabetic [list=I] = Uppercase Roman Numerals [list=i] = lowercase Roman Numerals
You could then use the same numbering convention in your poll questions, although I do agree with Sambo that some help in the poll option itself is more effective than just a reference to something that you need to read somewhere else.
By the way, what IS RCTModified [That's my answer, not a question. I don't need a reply]

Then again, what in your posts above suggested to me that you knew how to produce well formatted lists?
I hope that the information about lists will be useful for EVERYBODY.
Now, let's get this poll back on topic...

One man's common sense is another's waste of time. We are all different and "common sense" is entirely subjective.
Second - no where did I infer that someone would vote in your poll without reading the first post. Only an idiot would because they are forced to read it in order to make sense of the poll. I was making a point that if a poll is well constructed - there is no need for instructions or explanations in the first post. That way non-idiots can take a poll without being forced to read instructions they shouldn't have to be forced into reading in the first place.
Maybe people here are lazy. I was offering suggestions on making an improvement. My common sense says people strive to do better, but maybe I was wrong. Is it true no one really cares about a good product anymore?
If my suggestions were taken as an insult, it was not intended.
