ROAD RALLY MEXICO

We had 2 entries for the January Road Rally about Mexico, and both are really very nice parks I think, each with their own special Mexican highlights....,

but finally the winner is:

Magic Mexico Tours by Fr3ak

And a close Runner-up is:

Estados Unidos Mexicanos by Luigi

Congrats to both Fr3ak and Luigi!

Fr3ak: I really like yours, the execution was brilliant. The mine train was really nice and the temple was just perfect IMO. You brought so many different sides of Mexico into one great little park. To me it almost was like a studio tours kind of thing, except to Mexico. All of those little transport rides really added to the park and were quite nifty, although because the weren't totally invisible it seemed messy at points. The only thing I didn't really like was the foilage, as IMO it didn't really embody Mexico, as Mexico is more lush and tropical. Oh yeah, the Macaw was brilliant as well. Excellent work!

Luigi: Your's captured Mexico perfectly IMO, but it wasn't executed as well as Fr3ak's. The atmosphere was great, and the colours were nice aswell. The foilage was good, although it was a little repetitive and messy at times. The volcano was genius, best explosions I've seen. I also like the underground Mayan coaster, nice touch! Overall it was good, just kind of bare, with a lot of trees, but worthy of runner up.

OMG! these are both REALLY great, I think judging something like this would be very hard... LOVE that macaw fr3ak, Luigi... I think the reason you didn't win is because you gave me a stinkin' HEART ATTACK with eruption... I hate that crash sound!

I found both impressive. Luigi reminds me of Levis back when he started. I really loved all the flat rides in your park, but the rest was not all that awesome. Nice work.

Congrats on the win Fr3ak. I would have picked yours which id give an 8 to a 7 for Luigi. The mine train was great, I loved the temple it used for the lifts/drops. I really liked the hacked streets even with all the track on them, imo it looks better messy. The only thing I did not like was the *gasp* Parrot. You had the rounded blocks, why did'int you use them? Still a great idea tho, just executed poorly.

Will be fun to watch these rounds. I have no idea when I will enter, but you all can count on seeing something from me

God, crashes for effects are becoming pretty popular these days aren't they... >

Sorry, sorry to everyone... I had a flue as well as had to install a new pc...

I'll try to post the new RR tomorrow, and if I cannot live up to that, it will be at the end of this week anyway.
