Greetings,

I am presently working on Santa Cruz boardwalk and find the default dirt, sand, gravel surfaces all really unexceptable for a proper looking representation of the boardwalk. I'd prefer something resembling concrete or some other suitable manmade surface. Has anyone ever created any alternative land surfaces in RCT2?

Ocean Park is another project not far down the line with a huge double pier. A more realistic surface would be most desirable.

PS: I am not talking pathes, but land tiles.

you can modifie the g1.dat with the RCTGUIeditor to change the textures, but people who want to see the park have to change theire g1.dat also.

You could also use 1/4 tiles and make them grey and put an invisable path above it to make it look like that. :)

Greetings,

The problem is that this land must be something one can place rides, paths and concessions on. I guess I'll have to make due with the dark sand colored terrain. :(

Not really. There are black 7X7 square tiles that you can find. Change them to look like concrete, and change them from large scenery to small scenery. There, you have concrete. Found on the NE pro tour 2 bench.

Greetings,

Thanks for all the suggestions, but I have finished Santa Cruz and the default selection doesn't look as badly as expected. And, it was simple! :P
