hi, i'm after making a website with a primary aim to make money. I wonder if any of you have any good tried and tested ways, whether they be affiliates, advertising or paid members. whatever. I just have a lot of spare time and little spare money. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Please note: i only want legitimate money making schemes, nothing illegal or borderline, and definately not pyramid selling.

i'm 20 by the way so i can sign up for things like hosting

There really are no schemes to make money with websites.. You can design, build. and maintain them for others. That can provide some income. You can use a site to promote a business. service, or product you have, provide, or perform. Then the site generates money as an advertising expense.
Building a site and charging people to go there and/or do something rarely works. You really have to provide something of value that people want. You'll never meet expenses just building it and hoping people will pay to see what you got.

Unless you build the next Google, or MySpace - there isn't much hope of making any money simply by making a website.
