Palisades had a licensing agreement with several companies, including DC comics and the Harvey Entertainment group. Superman frequently appeared in ads for the park, and Batman had a slide. The Tea Cup ride was named after Harvey's Wendy, the good little witch.
Palisades also had their old tunnel of love, but it was not very popular. They rethemed the ride in the early 1960's as an Arabian Nights ride, but attendance still waned. So in 1968, they went back to Harvey and rethemed the dark ride to make it kid-friendly and themed it after the most popular Harvey character, Casper the Friendly Ghost. It was an immediate success, and remained open for the rest of the park's history.

The facade is incomplete, but gives you some idea of the finished product.
