Polls and game topics are not counted.
In the past we've had members who gave total post counts a lot more importance than they actually has, and they would spend a lot of their time posting in those topics just to get their totals to rise, and not posting really anything in the topics this site really is all about - RCT.

You can have 15,000 posts and not be thought of too much. If you're here to get a huge post count and become some forum superstar, please leave. If you're here to voice your positive opinion on RollerCoaster Tycoon, then by all means, stay!
