A completely custom object free park!

There is a README included in the zip file and just in case you are too busy to read it.....

We wanted to created a very playful park with a lot things to see packed with details and
not very serious theming. It's not meant to be a realistic park. It's situated around a lake (it's the "Build your own Six Flags"-Scenario) and has 6 Theme Areas:

* *Woody's Woods*
Nearly completely built by thirteen. It features many kiddy-rides,
such as "Grasshopper Hill", a Vekoma Rollerskater and also "Birds
Tale" - a Vekoma Sit Down. It's a very natural and green area with
many areas to sit down and relax. You also have the chance to make
a small boat tour on the lake.

* *Arid Arabia*
It is nearly completely built by 5dave. It has a big Intamin
Accelerator - "Ra Firebolt". It's a very intense 40m high-speed
coaster. A must-ride is also "Khemet" and the "Obelisk". Khemet is
a Intamin Spillwater and Obelisk is a fantastic Indoor Space Shot,
where you get a small glimpse of the outside at the top.

* *Mystic Meadows*
Is completely built by 5dave. It features the unique Mack
Watercoaster "Lost Atlantis". This coaster has a never seen
Launch, which has never been used on this type of coaster. The
area also offers a Intamin Rapid River called "Pinios Rafting".
There are also many indoor attractions to see.

* *Castle Coast*
Castle Coast offers many unusual rides. "The Horse Duel" is a
very fantasy-style Horse ride, where you ride on a horseback and
try to bring the opponent to fall. This area also has a gigant
woody in a out&back design. It is called "Prince Valiant". Also a
must-see is the Ghost Train in this area.

* *Slimey's Swamp*
It is the kiddy area of the park. It's completely built by
Thirteen. "Slime Factory" is the suspended Kiddy-Coaster in this
area. It soars over the visitor's heads. Slimey's Swamp also
features a lot of friendly rides, or at least rides with a
kid-friendly ride program.

**Hyperion Heights*
HH is the biggest area of the six. Parts of it are situated on a
mountain. Dimension X is the main attraction of this area. It is a
B&M Inverted coaster situated on a mountain. Also the "Kryptonite
Tower" is to mention. It offers the best view over the park. At
least a view for a view seconds. The area offers many more other
rides. In- and outdoor.

The judges this round were: Mama Bear, rwadams, Buckeye Becky, Gwazi, and ride_exchanger.

The judges all liked the park considering there was no custom scenery and here is just one judge's comments:

ride_exchanger -
- First off, the lack of custom scenery. The atmosphere they were able to create with just the RCT2 vanilla scenery was outstanding.
- The ride selection was very balanced, not too many intense rides, but not too many gentle rides either.
- The peep friendliness of the park was a major selling point for me, I always enjoy peep-friendly parks.
- lift chain on "Grasshopper Hill"
- extra “peep friendly” paths behind main street, leading to the entrance. I know from personal experience with peep friendly parks how necessary these are, and I appreciate their addition here.
- use of ruined stautes as tops of support poles on “Dimension X”
- Of course the hacks on "The Horse Duel" and "Lost Atlantis" were outstanding, that goes without saying. That may be the best Mack Water Coaster I’ve ever seen.
- The seemless integration of the monorail into the rest of the park, for example, where it crosses thru “Prince Valiant” support structure, just wonderful.
- the Prince Valiant entertainer at the break run of the coaster of the same name.
- The station of Pinios-Rafting was a nice attempt to make the round stations that river rafts have in real life.
- The layout of the B&M invert was fantastic, one of the best I’ve seen.

Things I didn’t like:
- lateral g’s too high on "Ra Firebolt"
- "Prince Valiant" not running in block sectioned mode.
- 90 degree turn in the middle of the lift hill on "Birds Tale"

These are just “pet peeves” of mine when it comes to coaster construction, having made so many thousands of coasters myself over the past 7 years of RCT.

Congrats!

I thought the park very nice. In fact, the archy wasn't blocky at all!

Good job on this park, I thought it was well done. In fact if this is a Weekend Getaway, the standard for VP must be very high. I particularly liked the Water Coaster and the Monorail, though Mack Water Coasters have Track drops and a splash down at the end rather than a water drop at the start.

There were a few niggles however like the B&M launched coaster, B&M don't and won't do launchs and Islands of Adventure had to get an outside contractor (I think it was Arrow) to do the launch on Hulk. The Lat. Gs were also too high on this coaster. The 90 degree turn on Bird's Tale's lift hill was also odd, I feel you should have extended the hill over the path and then brought the track back to the layout again. Finally why was the topspin Slime Cannon, in the Swampy's Swamp kiddie area set to Berserk mode? I think I'd have swapped this ride with the haunted house or the slide you had elsewhere in the park (power tower?).

Other than my pedantic ramblings though great job on the park and keep up the good work.

I understand what you are saying about the VP standard Leonardofury, and agree that this park was well done.

The VP standard is high but is also subjective in that it matters who judges. Every person has their own preferences that they tend to give more points to, and that leaves some variation. Combine that with the number of judges with their tastes and average it - the scores peaks flatten somewhat. It is not uncommon for a really good park to miss a VP only by a point or two. That is why we created the Weekend Getaway. That way those parks are not lost - but given attention.

I have no quibble with how the VPs are scored - it is a proven system that works well. Although no system is perfect, the introduction of the Weekend Getaway brings us closer.

Thanks for the 'pedantic ramblings' Leo, and congrats to Thirteen and 5dave for a really nice park.

The overview looks great, I barely download any parks but Im going to download this one because there is no custom scenery to deal with loading. Great idea with this the weekend getaway idea, I have a park that would be good for this.

I really liked your park! I didn't know that anything great could be done with that scenario! My favorite part was that Horse Duel!
