Greetings and salutations to all our test subjects...I mean test participants!

Staff member Mort Kimble of our Flat Ride and Coaster Research Divisions has placed an priority research request in our testing que. It seems that one of our client parks is in need of a new attraction to fill a small under-used spot in their property. Because this area is located in an currently un-themed part of the park, they have decided to leave the choice of themeing to us. Therefore we are placing a call for submissions for the following attraction:

February-March 2006 Test Subject - Design a new attraction

Our client has asked us to design a new attraction based on a Wild Mouse coaster, you may use any of the Wild Mouse versions found in RCT3 to construct your ride. In addition, our client will expect this attraction to be fully themed to the usual high level found in their parks. They leave the choice of them to the designer but request a consistant look to the project.

The land for this attraction is limited. You will have an area of 20 X 20 to work with. This plot must not only include the footprint of your entire ride, it must also include the following:

All que lines and exit paths must be within the 20 X 20 space.

A one tile wide pathway must be included on two (2) sides of the 20 X 20 area. Your ride may intrude over these paths as long as the overall ride remains in the 20 X 20 area. Que and exit paths must connect to these boundary paths.

(NOTE: You may use a bench that is larger than 20 X 20 in order to place an entrace and guest injection point. Areas outside of the 20 X 20 ride area should not be themed, and the entire overall bench should be no larger than 30 X 30.)

The use of custom scenery IS allowed. Scenery specificily made for this project must be submitted with the entry.

Use of Soaked! or Wild! expansion packs IS allowed.

The client has requested that there be included One (1) Drink/Beverage Stall, Two (2) Food Stalls, One (1) Merchandise Stall, and One (1) Restroom within the 20 X 20 space.

This test subject shall be critiqued according to our client's instructions...50% of score based on the actual ride construction and performance, 50% of score based on overall themeing.

All test designs must be submitted to our office by Sunday, March 19, 2006. Zip or RAR files should be sent to: walterkrum@gmail.com .

The entire staff here looks forward to seeing your creations. Questions may be posted here and we will endeavor to answer them as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,
Walter Krum

The minimum area I can set my RCT3 is 32X32. I think that this is pretty much universal.

Oh dear! Thank you for pointing that out rlindsey. I was relying on the figures our head of the Animal Research Division, Lonnie Swineherder, gave me. I really should have double checked myself, as Lonnie is well know to claim that certain things are bigger than they actually are...or so I've heard anyways. His figures often just don't match up to the cold cruel truth...painful and disappointing as that may be.

We shall adjust the rules to reflect the 32X32 size as the maximum allowed for the overall size of the bench. The ride itself should still be contained within the 20X20 footprint.

Thank you for pointing out this error.

Thank you everyone, the February/March Test Subject is now closed to submissions. I am happy to report that we have received a number of excellent proposals. Our top-notch research staff is hard at work putting these ideas under the microscope and running them through the simulators. We will be announcing the results in just a few days. In the meantime, we have another challenge lined up for us, and we'll need your help on it. Remember that together we are working hard to insure Bigger And Better Theme Parks For The Future!
