If you've got problems with spyware, trojans or viruses, here's a comprehensive list of programs that are (almost :P ) guranteed to solve your problem:

Try getting AVG Antivirus, as well as ZoneAlarm to start with. Next, make a backup of your system just in case anything goes wrong.

Now get Ad-Aware, and run a smart scan and a full system scan. Next, check for viruses using AVG, and finally, download Spybot - Search and Destroy, and run that.

(For the future, you may want to download both SpywareGuard and Spyware Blaster, both highly recommended by me and PC Zone).

If none of them work, then you're better off re-formatting. :(

I also highly recommend Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D, but I do have one question for you turbo...

How do you do the system backup with XP? (where do I go to do it?/what program do i need?).

There's two really...but one is much easier, the other is harder but more comprehensive.

1. Start--->All Programs--->System Tools--->Backup

This is the harder one.

2. Start--->All Programs--->System Tools--->System restore

This is the simpler one, and the one I recommend. However, doing both won't do any harm. ;)

For a great Anti Virus program i recommend AntiVir Some say it's better than AVG Antivirus. I have it and it works great. And Definition updates seem to available everytime you turn around.

i use Ad-aware and Spybot but the best result is to use another browser, just try Mozilla-Firefox for a wile and than you wil see that it works
it has an build-in pop-up blocker and it is not a massive program

Another good one is Webroot's SpySweeper. Works great on spyware and it notifies you of homepage changes as well so most homepage hijackers don't have a chance to change your home page on you.
