Another giant coaster from CCI. Mega Zeph is a rough and tumble ride that includes a 110 foot drop, 60 mph speeds, camelbacks, double-ups, trick track, a turnaround over Jazz Lake, and a 360-degree helix finale. Built as a fitting tribute to the old Edward Vettel Zephyr coaster that once graced the same lake just 17 years before. Major update to track, documentation, and new photos added.

RCT1 & RCT2 tracks included.

Doing a "terrain" coaster is very difficult because one cannot determine the height numbers for the hills and track. Raven is a beautiful coaster.

I do have the Raven as recreated by someone else in my archive. I can upload it to you. Email your request to:

You going to do a throwback to Stealth @ Paramount's Great America as well Steve?

Well, this looks like another great recreation, but I hate how it slows down towards the end, a lot. I dunno if the coaster does this (and with your expertise I'm sure it does) but I just think that with the trim taken out that it would flow better towards the end.

Actually, I am planning on including Stealth in the pack. It all depends on the station. Stealth's is much harder to duplicate than Borg's.

I am working on a 2 ghz machine with 512 meg of memory and a $400 graphics card. That may have something to do with it. What looks good here may be slow to you.

I do admit that the last hill before the helix may appear a tad slow, but it actually looks realistic with a full train. Also, the trains will travel slow empty, but speed up to good visuals when full.

But study video of trains passing over an actual coaster course. It will surprise you how just how slow (and majestically) the trains travel. You will likely leave the trim alone. Remember these are GIANT installations that are represented in RCT. Watch a coaster video and count out loud as the trains work thru inversions. For instance, a real coaster train will take four seconds to pass thru a vertical loop. Try that in RCT! That is slow! A corkscrew 1.5 seconds, and a cobra roll 3.5 to 4 seconds.

Mr. Sawyer's game time is actually too fast if you look at the train's displayed miles per hour. Trains actually appear to travel faster then the recorded speeds indicate. I hope Sawyer addresses this in RCT3.

All that aside, you could always adjust the trim to suit your taste. ;)

I thought that the returning trains on my Shivering Timbers looked too fast and said so in the doc file. What was your impression?
