Hehe, yeah it is. Didn't notice that in the second screen. I was focused on the archy. Sorry about that. :phew:

So here is the new ride in Adventureland, which is still called King Solomon's Mine, and is still a powered mine cart, but the ride construction is brand new (and higher to boot) and the archy and scenery are all new. Hope you enjoy.

It broke my heart to put all the work into the castle thingy and then destroy it to look like a ruin. I know it's not the biggest or fanciest building ever, but it looks exactly as I had planned it, and I liked it. Perhaps in a future park I'll expand on the guiled castle idea.

D

EDIT: PLEASE LINK TO YOUR SCREENSHOT IF ITS LARGER THAN 640X480. THANKS!

Looks nice. The ride itself could do with some work. I think it would benefit more if it was a mine train coaster. Also that grey castle is a bit of a block, it also has some random bits missing. Also could you explain the gold sparkles on the land.

Pretty nice castle. I like everything so far except for the fact that's it's kinda random. :)

Keep it up!

Scenery looks pretty good. The ride itself isn't bad either. The landscaping and foliage might need a little work. I think in this case your foliage would be best off if you made it as dense as the other screens. For the landscaping, just try to avoid jagged, uneven, single tiles at different heights. Make it flow a little more. ;)

Also, maybe change the land face behind the waterfalls to ice? That always looks better IMO.

Keep it up! :)

(You might wanna link screen 1 before you get yelled at! ;) )

The castle in screen two was done well. You did a good job of making it look run down and over grown with foliage.

In screen three the buildings are great, but don't look quite as ruined as the castle in screen two.

I would also maybe suggest that the ride 'explore' the island a bit more. It seems to kind of just stay to one side of it and doesn't wander very much.

For the path choice I suggest that you maybe try a dark brown dirt path. I don't know if that would work better, but just try it and see.

The other buildings look great, nothing to comment on there. Keep it up!

There's a VP Competition every month, so it's not really much of a deadline. After all, the more effort you put into it, and effort and detail usually means more time, it'll make it even better than it is right now.

I'm loving the park so far. The Western Canada area sounds exciting, don't forget the Calgary Stampede! ;)

Or do. It's your park.
...I'll stop typing now. :ermm:

Exactly, I'm still working on Tropical Paradise and I'm not worrying about any deadlines.

That looks like an extremely good park so far, even if it's not all done! It's only year 9 and you also already have that much done... Man, you must be fast with working on stuff. I like Splash Mountain especially so far. I too would add in something like Big Thunder Mountain or another version of Matterhorn (Assuming you downloaded the trains from The Amazing Earl here). I await the park's download date! Great job so far.

EDIT: I would recommend using a trainer of some sorts to somewhat submerge the Pirate Ships to make them seem a bit more realistic as well

It is a mine train, but not the articulated kind. I'm using that later for my Rocky Mountain Thunder Railway. Also, the blocky castle is based on an old drawing of a secluded palace lost in Africa, built on the profits of a huge gold mine. It's an old hoax from the turn of the 19th century. The pieces missing are to show ruin. I'm actually not sure I like any of it anymore. The gold sparkles are there because the legend states that you can see King Solomon's gold everywhere on the ground, there is so much. I thought I liked this ride yesterday, but like Atlantis, I think it's going to take some serious retooling. Thanks for your comments.

What does "link the screen" mean? Am I putting too many pics in the topic?

First of all...cjman...I don't yell at anybody

Dave...The images you post of your park need to be no larger than 640x480 in size. If they are larger than that, then you should be linking to them. Instead of clicking on the image on the toolbar when posting your pictures (the[IMG] tags)...you click on the globe with the link on the toolbar. It will ask you for an url. You paste the url to the picture (just like you do when you are posting the url for the IMG tag. Then it will pop up and ask you to title it...you can just paste the link again OR you can title the link...

Hope you know what I mean... :D

Go up to where you posted screens before and you will see how I changed the one picture (since it was larger than 640x480)
