There is missing a piece of info here.
When you add the two images you also must make sure that they are 8-bit colored (256 colors). I couldn't add 16-bit bmp's. You can convert 16-bit images easily with paint.

I have to thank buckone for creating the simplified tutorial she provided. This was done when the DatMaker first came out and worked quite well for me at that time. It gave me all the information I needed to create a theme group.

Since that time, I've found that a lot of people need a more detailed tutorial which lists the steps with further explanation. So, I did my tutorial. You can find it here.

And tyandor is correct, the theme group pic that goes in the tab needs to be in 8-bit format (256 colors).

I'd like to try making scenery groups. But I can't seem to find DatMaker anywhere. Can someone do me a big favor and provide a link to the site/forum where I can DL the utility?
