The tutorials say it should be a 256 color bmp. That's 8 bit not 16 or 24.EDIT: I've still got a problem with the image I'm making. I've made a stall with Doctor J's editor, and put it's DAT file in a empty folder, along with the pos.txt file (saying 0,0 on one line) and the 24 bit BMP image. I went into the editor, and opened the folder and loaded the DAT file, and then disassembled it. I entered the file name without the .DAT, then clicked build, and moved the new DAT file to the ObjData folder. In both disassembling and building it said finished. Here's the result I got in RCT 2:
[Bad image snipped]
I then did exactly the same except I replaced the 24 bit BMP file with a 16 bit one, as it says to do in the guides. Everything went fine, and I got this result in RCT 2:
[Bad image snipped]
I'm at a complete loss as to what to do, I don't even know if I'm making a mistake or if it's the editor's fault.
Think I'll go update that right now.
Gotta be the same palette as the game as well.

Woops, I meant 256 colours!The tutorials say it should be a 256 color bmp. That's 8 bit not 16 or 24.

Also, what do you mean by the game's palette?

The game uses a specific set of colors in a secific order. If your image does not use that color set/order, you'll get a picture that looks like yours but will be colored wrong.Woops, I meant 256 colours! The tutorials say it should be a 256 color bmp. That's 8 bit not 16 or 24.

Oh right, the thing is, I made the BMP by cropping a screenshot from the game, and then saving it as a 256 colour BMP. Surely one of the game's screenshot's would have the same colour palette as the game!?The game uses a specific set of colors in a secific order. Actually, some programs, such as MS Paint, change the palette when they save the image.Oh right, the thing is, I made the BMP by cropping a screenshot from the game, and then saving it as a 256 colour BMP. Surely one of the game's screenshot's would have the same colour palette as the game!?
Annoying but true.
I've sent you a PM asking for you to e-mail me the picture. I can check the palette and get back to you.

Yeah, someone else let me know this too. It doesn't work on WW rides. I don't know why, but if you want to use a WW ride type, just use the original from RCT2.I just found out, from what I've tested it does not work on Wacky Worlds rides at the moment. But, all WW is is a bunch of remade original rides, so it shouldn't be a big problem.
