The two tracks that I want to share, has the saved scenery with them. One track has the lower part of the structure, (of one panel,) while the second has the upper part, or "peak" of the panel.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePositioning them seamlessly together is pretty easy. But it's IMPORTANT to start with a "Mirrored" versions of these panels first. I'll explain...Posted ImageSee along the right edge? How the objects didn't seem to mirror quite right? (I don't know why these didn't mirror correctly, so please don't ask.)But there IS a simple way to get around this problem. You see, I already know, (by developing the Geo-Sphere) that objects get replaced by new objects. This is what will happen in this case. These skewed objects will get replaced, by the object in the next panel segments along this edge.Posted ImageNext: How to position the segments so as to appear seamless.

didnt AE make space mountain sencery?

Not that I know of. I visited his DLs at RCT Mart, and I didn't see any scenery for a Space Mountain there. "Amazingly" enough, the forum was moved to RCT Space.

He made the rollercoaster cars
for Space Mountain. I DLed the attraction,
put the ObjDat in the folder, put the included track
in the tracks folder, built a kick a** pair of dueling coasters,
set to syncronize the staions, tested the coasters, and got the error trapper...

"Exception Raised".

These tracks were TIGHT! There was at LEAST a dozen flyby encounters.
Yet it never got past the test phase. Spent a couple hours with
the design. Then BAM! And the game closed out.
I can't tell you how totally cheesed off I am.
Will this happen again? I hate to go
and design another pair if it's
just going to go off again.

I've checked all the custom
rides,and I only discovered
a fewattractions that do not
export. I already have copies
of the DAT files in a folder for
the non-exporting attractions.
Unfortunatly, AE-SPCMT is a
NON-EXPORTING ride. I just
wonder if this is what caused
my error trapper to go off?

Yes - Earl's non-exporting attractions can and many times do cause the error trapper. They must be manually exported/imported and the park rebooted to check once again that they are there.

Sambo... So, do you think that if I gave it another shot, it'll be alright?

The continuing saga of Space Mountain...

When we last saw our structure,
there was some skewed objects running up the side of the panel.
Let's continue with that, shall we? ;)

Below, is a ghost image of a non-mirrored lower panel.
It's positioned correctly, but the objects that will replace the
skewed objects cannot be seen. Once the lower panel is built,
the skewed objects will be replaced by the correctly positioned objects.

Posted Image

See? Their gone. All is right with the "world". :D
Don't forget to delete the car ride,
or the next panel won't line up properly.

Posted Image

The next panel is also not mirrored. It's the upper half of the peak of the mountain.
It gets lined up simular to the lower portion of the mountain.
Again, the skewed objects will be replaced...

Posted Image

Lo-and-behold...

Posted Image

Here is 1/4 of the mountain. Simply repeat these steps and eventually, you'll finish the entire structure.

Posted Image

Another nice thing about this technique, is the fact that if you "blow a hole" through the structure with a
coaster track or inadvertantly delete a hole in it. Just position the correctly mirrored (or non-mirrored)
panel over the area, and rebuild it. All the new blocks will replace the old blocks.

The only drawback seems to be... If you created a support wall, under the structure's bottom edge,
that will be deleted for the track that the structure was saved with to be built. Easy-come, easy-go.

Sambo... So, do you think that if I gave it another shot, it'll be alright?

If you manually put Earl's .dat file in the objdata folder before booting it, it may still give the message, but shut rct2 down and open it up again and then try the park. Quite often this fixes it. No guarantees - but it has worked with Earl's non-exporting files in the past.

Well, it worked out.
All that's left is the walls
around the parimeter of the structure.
Here is the final resting place of the structure
and the coasters it contains.

First, the Structure...

The coasters have a number of "Close Encounters" along the way.
Their syncronized, and they do fly-by manuvers as well as some parallel manuvers.

Posted Image

Posted Image

I'm also thinking of using one of these patterns for the walls...
What do you guys think? Double Diamond, Diamond or X-Pattern?
