They must have just taken off the on-ride photo, because this pic has 2003 on the date...

Funny you should mention the photo unit. That point was much on my mind this morning while working on the Stealth's station. Thank you so much for bringing up this point.Steve, I remember on your RCT recreation of Stealth you had the on ride photo section after the part of the track that flies over the lift hill. And I'd conversed with you about it then, but I don't know if you've fixed it or not. The photo section is right before the lift on Stealth. On Borg Assimilator, I'd assume it was in the same position, but I can't be sure.
I must have spent about 30+ minutes scanning several photos of both Stealth and Borg this morning, specifically looking for any on-ride photo system and came up empty handed. I did remove it from the old location - at the base of the drop of turnaround #4 for the same reasons.
Are you saying that the photo unit is located just after the vertical loop? If I take your sentence literally, you can't mean the rollout between station and lift.
If its after the vertical loop, which IS a place of natural consideration; in this case, the passengers are in the most unflattering position possible on the ride - on their backs, rolling backwards and facing the sky! The trains do not complete the flip until they crest the following hill.
Can you provide any hard information this point before I put the Stealth and Borg project to bed? Anything definitive would be most appreciated.

One other point about Stealth/Borg is the handling of the exit. Is it on the same side of the platform where passengers load - that being the outside platform. I do see two stairways leading up to the loading platform; one adjacent to, and on the same side as where the track enters the station, and one also coming off the loading platform on the station's front face and near the rollout end of the platform. Clarification of this matter is also of great importance.

Doesn't that make it MORE likely?

If you don't mind waiting a bit, I might go to Scareowinds (the halloween celebration they have) because of all these coupons I got from Bojangles...
Great... now I want some Bojangles...

I believe the photo unit is the greyish pole to the right of the loop in that picture. So that would place it before the loop.

This picture is kinda jogging my mind a bit. The entrance and exit are on different sides of the platform. The exit decends below the brake run and then goes straight out to the on ride photo booth. Then it comes back underneat the rollout to the lift. It stays to the left of the loop if you're looking from the front. That's as much as I can tell you though. I haven't been there for over a year, and haven't ridden stealth for much longer. The line was always kinda short but the loading times were terrible. Make sure to have the 2nd train wait on the brake run for at least 15-20 seconds.
Also, any update on how Giant Dipper @ SCBB is coming along?

If I were going to place an on-ride photo for this coaster, I'd place the camera somewhere that shows riders in the "flying" position not in such an undignified pose as on one's back and hog-tied. But, hey, that's just me.Doesn't that make it MORE likely?
