BRAVO! It looks wonderful, without a doubt it will win VP. I can't wait to have a look at it.

....however I'm afraid I might be reaching my obj dat limit. Maybe I can squeeze in one last park though!

Hum, the obj data limit is there only for the small scenery selection hability in the scenario editor. Once you pass it, you cannot scroll the small scenery objects window, so you cannot select whatever small object you want. But you can open parks without any problems... If you want to build a new park, just start from a workbench....

Dcornel, I think I love this park a lot, very good work in general, like somewhere I said before

Some screens I find subpar however, and I think especially you could make much more of them...

Your 3rd screen of June 17:
What's with this huge, uninteresting, bland brown flat-roof?
Really boring to look at, but even in matters of "realisticness" it would not do: there would be ventilation-openings, plumbing-things to direct the rain-water (trims of a sort), an opening to repair the roof, and things alike...

Same goes for the desert of white building blocks on Toon Town.....

The last but one screen, with the red building for Pluto's, also seems rushed, undetailed and unfinished. even if it does not always have to be windows, I am sure these walls, even in a real park where peeps could see those, would not be bland like they are here....fix them up with some details of whatever I would advise (anything to make them more interesting...)

Hotel Disney North to me just seems a set up that still has to be worked out. Could be great, but by now it is just stacked things in the colour of a retro-photograph.....add some variarition, in colour as well as depth and some details, I would say.
The water on the left of it looks weird...what is it supposed to be, with such under-water elevation...?

Please mind, I am only being so critical as I think you can do much better on all those things....and I think it's a real pity you left some parts of what could be a great park so sloppy and under-developed......as if you are fed up with it and want to rush it off now...can understand that, but still it's a shame....

If I would have to judge this one for VP (which always is a chance, but no certainty, and the best thing is that VP's are judged by many people :D ) with what I have seen now, I would hesitate severely, exactly by those kind of things I mentioned above.

No problem, still looking a really nice park, and most important thing always stays that you have fun building it and are satisfied with it yourself, wether it wins something or not.

Conclusion so far: great and promising park, but too much rushed in some places to make it special throughout. (but of course I have not yet seen it in-game yet and as the screens were more of archy than of rides/Rollercoasters I still could be surprised!!)

Hey Emergo...

The blocky roof I fixed long ago after agreeing with your advice.

Toon town was a work of love, and I really like that area (white blocks in all) a lot, but have to agree with you on the Plutp part for sure. It was meant to be Barn Stormer, but I didn't load the ride, and refuse to go back to Scenario Editor.

Good call on the hotel too. It doesn't feel "Disney" to me, but I am limited by my RAM and am fighting the game shutting down on me. Originally it had an underground monorail that led to under the castle. Too bad it all got too big. I will redo the hotel though.

I appreciate your candor and your challenge. I really want VP some day and have had fun creating this park too. I may have rushed the end, and I am going to remedy that. I really appreciate all the feed back, and will continue to always listen and learn. I'll post new pics soon, and then I guess it's VP or bust. I don't mind if I don't get VP though since this park was my first all out work of joy, and I'm wholly renewed with the game and where I'm going with it next.

dcornel.....

Not sure if you're aware that you can add rides, scenery etc. with Parkitect's ParkDat utility.

It's a great utility that allows you to add .dats to your park without going back to the scenario editior or having to re-do your rides.

Make sure to D/L the original ParkDat AND V. 1.4 (the most recent update..with bugs fixed but, you MUST have the original for V 1.4 to operate).

Since it looks like you're going to be rebuilding a little bit in your park, you might want to go ahead and have the BarnStormer in there the way you planned it.

it... loooks... FANTASTIC!

i'm serious it looks really really good! very disney.

i only have a few suggestions:
http://img525.images...48/scr44ho6.png

^ the tent structures here are a bit... bothersome. i dont know they just dont look right to me. and in this same screen shot, the foliage isnt quite right. the leftover grass area, and the tall trees with no shrubs. i don't know it doesnt seem very disney to me.

and also:

http://img525.images...60/scr46ny8.png

^this go kart ride isnt very disney. no themeing, and big wooden support structures. it doesnt seem like something disney would have. im thinking more like "autopia" at disneyland in anaheim. also those weedy grass areas in front of the fence are bothersome. FLOWERS! BUSHES! ever been to disney parks?

other than that, your buildings are superb and your layout is very interesting. im looking forward

Thanks for the word about Parkdat rottentothecore. I had a few images to post, but now I think I'll go back and do some more work. If I can get barnstormer, than I will be happy. I am eliminating the hotel though because the game won't let me build anymore!

Here are some pics of the hotel that will never be (I've destroyed it and created a lake to save object space) and the beginnings of Pluto's raceway (unless I can get and work Parkdat). Even though these may not get in, any and all feedback is a bonus to me.

I do love that roof of Pluto's raceway (though it seems to be standing on nothing.....?), but how you worked with that striped roofs it gives a kind of pop-art effect, very nice and special.....

The hotel-structure looks fine, though for a hotel it could absolutely do with more details, but you said the game won't let you build anymore..... is that because you have reached the sprite limit?? (how big is the park?)

(You know, I guess, that you can check this with 8cars ?)

^I have to disagree with you there Emergo. For me it feels like Pluto's race way has had no thought put into it at all. For me it's ruined the park. I think it would look better if you made it fit into the surrounding area.

^ don't know if you mean you dislike that pop-art roofings (while I love them :D ), or if you mean that the go-karts themselves still need some work: the last thing I agree upon with you indeed: tried to tell that by saying "it seems they are standing on nothing", which was a bit short and unclear for trying to express that they still need some working-in in the surroundings, so that they are more incorporated into a landscaping , or built upon some special supporting things, instead of just built upon a flat square of land and sticking out.
