for a while, after a fresh install of rct 1 (without LL), I would start the game, it would look like something was happening (the screen went black) then it just took me back to my desktop. Then I tried installing LL (I thought this would help any problems that there could be with 'rct.exe') and the game started, WHOO HOO righ? wrong. now when I get to the start screen (where you can select 'new game' or click onto the tutorial, or exit the game) when i click load game (the button with the floppy disk on it) the game just closes, no error message. I though this was not satisfactory, so i installed my friends brittish version (i was using US) after completely uninstalling the other. Now the game (Rct (UK) without LL or CF) starts and does the same thing as with LL before. So at this point, I have the brittish version of rct installed without LL. PS: When I click 'load game' from anywhere (in a new game or from the start screen) this happens, but i can still save games without a problem and start new games.PPS: this is really important to me, Im just getting back into rct, and need rct again. So if you could be quick with a response? ILL check back about every hour.UPDATE: I installed both CF and LL, and everythings the same now, but now I can't save either.

XP, and all the compatibility stuff is on and checked. I put the compatibility to window 95 then to 98/ME.

If that doesn't work, use the patch.

I run RCT 1.08.187 and LL 1.20.013 on XP in native XP mode, I don't need any compatability mode.

I do remember once getting this problem. I *think* that installing the latest drivers for my graphics card, and running DXDIAG fixed the problem.

I fixed everything, I just installed my friends' "RCT DELUXE" instead, now it works.

!NEW PROBLEM! Drexler patch won't work on rct deluxe. I've read that you can load up rct1 from deluxe, but then you need an LL cd, I have an LL cd, can anyone help me "load up rct1" with deluxe installed?

The Drexler patch DOES NOT work with RCT Deluxe. You can load up RCT1 from Deluxe, but you then need to find an original Loopy Landscapes disc. From that, you can use the Drexler Patch.
