Hello again, fans!!
Work has finally begun on the renovations for FARUQ'S ARID HEIGHTS, the adventure-themed amusement park settled in sunny southern California. The area size of this place has grown quite a bit, the Monorail route's been lengthened and modified, along with new rides and attractions.
FARUQ'S ARID HEIGHTS will be made available for public download sometime this fall.
Thank You!

I don't want to seem nit-picky, Fun Town Fan, but the above post really should be moved over to RCT 1 Park Makers Place. It kinda interrupted the thread with an ad for a park we can't even download yet. :"> Might you ask a moderator to move it there for you? Get that zip file on there and I'll be happy to DL it!
Back to Arid Heights:
Sure, Arid Heights was easy, but since you can't speed up R & D (throw more money at it to hurry it up,) you wait forever for thrill rides, while all you get out of them is shops & stalls. You can't even choose what you want to research for. IMO: A trainer, if only to get all the attractions, is all you really need to bust loose with an axe-kicking park.
I also like to fill the revenes & ditches with water to an acceptable level, which gives a great water base to modify for water attractions. I love water in the terraformation of a park.

And two, Arid Heights itself is easy. You just need to theme everything and allow yourself to handle the park. Hey, weren't Crazy Craters and Icicle Worlds just like that?!
Basically, if Arid Heights doesn't have a theme to it, it won't hit big with the guests. I've done quite a few theme parks with Arid Heights, a few I can share with you.
Six Flags Theme World: Basically my first attempt at the scenario. I just basically used every theme in the scenario. Let me think, I started with Snow and Ice at the start, worked on a space section to the left of it...I don't remember what was at the bottom right...the left was Pagoda, though. I put a Jurassic area in the upper-left. North...Spooky and Creepy, I think. Just a ways to the right I had a medieval section, and at the upper-right, there was a Roman section. Below that was the Urban section. Afterwards, I built the center with grids, and placed an Air Powered Vertical Coaster around it.
Wacky Worlds: A take on Wacky Worlds in the Original RCT. I had Antarctica at the bottom, of course, then went west and put a South American section in the bottom-left. At the oasis, I put Africa. The east section was Asia, with Japan, a Mt. Everest, and India. Upper right was mostly Europe, with Russia north of it. The north west corner was the Artic, though. To the west was North America. I think that's it. OH! Australia was to the lower-right.
European Expedition: A theme park version of my favorite continent! Italy was to the south, and Spain was west of it in the lower right corner. Greece was east of Italy, and I had a complex transport center set up there. France was at the west side of the park. Russia took up the whole east side. What else...of course I had England in the upper-left. Norway was the snow themed area in the north, and Brussels was in the exact center, with a large Inverted Coaster called Circle of Stars.
I lost most of the parks, though, and I've retired from making new Arid Heights parks. I still remember, though...
