People who say they'll host your idea for a project or feature, then slowly remove control, or your ability to do anything for it, from your hands.

Being teamed up with someone who insists that everything be discussed before it's added to a project. And you do, and it's agreed to add it. Then, they turn around and tell you that you're "doing too much", less than 24 hours later. Claiming it's no longer a "team thing" anymore, it's all about me. While they never lifted a finger to add any content of their own, whatsoever, anywhere.

People who want to control what every aspect of your idea. Thinking that they know better, when you have a clear vision what it should be and how to go about it. Their usual excuse is, "Well, lets think about it", after you've already done the thinking.

People who say they give you a forum, but don't give you all the Admin features you need to build it, the way you want to. Then argue with you, claiming that you make "demands" when they are the ones who put themselves in the position to do what you ask.

Same person says that they'll help you, then disappear for days, while you sit there waiting for them to follow through with their promise of assistance.

Lesson learned:
Don't trust anyone who keeps a bit of the master controls for themselves. You will become a slave to their whims, work ethic, excuses and rants. Run away. Far, far away.

Don't continue with a friendship after you discover that the person is manipulative, argumentative, volitile, bad-mouthing or insulting to your friends, ideas, dreams or values. You will grow to dispise this person.

Don't get chummy with someone, just because they say they like your ideas and want to partner with you. You never know what their real intentions are, and they just might steal them from you, or hinder you from obtainging your goals and dreams. Once you realize this, end the relationship immediately and block any and all communication, however you can.

Be very carefull about what you say when conversing with these people. They will take your words and twist them into meaning something mean and vindictive, then attack you with them when you're not expecting it. These people assume the negative, whenever and wherever possible. The world and the internet are full of these people. Be warned. Never get too close, too fast.

^ Wow!
I hear/read big disappointment and "feeling-betrayed", oozing through in every single one of your sentences here.....and I think (?) I do understand them soooo well.......yes, of course, that cheeses one off.

What you are telling about happens far too often between people in this world, on every level (and when you are not like this yourself it gives you a real blow when others do this to you while you never ever expected that, for you did not deserve this.....)

But please don't loose faith or get bitter, .......there still are too many lovely people and projects/ideas in this world that deserve to be cherished as well as they can give you so much joy....

Gun:I hate having holes in my socks. ouch.gif

^I do too.....however only because it feels uncomfortable (don't care what others think of it, though)
but...ehh, it's no big problem, is it...?
Just buy new socks and the problem is simply solved....or follow a course how to repair your own socks

People with wierd/stupid/meaningless/absurd pet peeves.

(MARTHA!! DO I COUNT THREE ICE CUBES IN MY GLASS?)

I also don't like people who go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about nothing. Why don't they just say what they want to say, and then leave it at that! Wait for someone else to reply, instead of hogging the whole conversation! ARRG! They just go on and on! And then they just keep bringing up other subjects so that they have a reason to keep TALKING! It's as if they think that maintaining control over the conversation makes them important! BAH I say to them! What's their deal anyway??? It's rude, inconsiderate, and completely pointless. Jeez, usually I'll have to interrupt what the moron is saying before I forget what I was going to say, but then they just point out that it's rude to interrupt, or then they interrupt me halfway through what I'm saying so that they can get back to what they were talking about. How annoying! Selfish fools! Why must they torture us with their infinite babbling???!?!?!!??! It's things like this that really, really, really, annoy me. Just plain, completely annoy me. They annoy me to then nth degree!! ARRGG!! ANNOYING!!! HOW IT ANGERS ME!!

Oh, I also don't like people that can get really really angry over something. There's never a reason to get that annoyed.

Some things like unrealistic details I'm willing to blow off. Things like the number of ice cubes for example. I would just ignore the complaint and go about my busness. Maybe then they'll realize how stupid they're being. Some things aren't worth getting into an argument about. It depends if you want to fuel the fire, or put it out. I'd tell them, "Next time, fix the drink yourself, then you won't have to complain about how someone else does it." That usually shuts them up.

Yeah. Not being able to get a word in edgewise is a big peeve for me. It's as if they haven't gotten through to you the first twelve times. Yeah, you can tack that bit onto my original reply too. My mom is like that, but I do interrupt her and say, "Well, before I forget what I want to say...."

A variance of that, would be the people who have already told you about "whatever" for 3 hours, then the next time you talk together, they bring it all up again. It's as if they don't remember that they bored you to tears about "whatever" before, and they have to drag you through it again.

I tell them, "We've covered this already, we don't need to go there." Most people will get the hint. Only one person got pretty angry that I reminded them of this. Several times actually, so it's plain to see that they have little concern about what they put others through. Not very many people are like that. Only a select few are too wrapped up with themselves to give you common courtesy of speaking. I mean, it's supposed to be a conversation, right? Not a lecture.

@ Emergio:
I just went through all that just before I posted my original response. So, yeah, I guess it was a bit "laced with disappointment". I was full of the disappointment, and I defanatly had to vent. Betrayed, not so much, but it was there too. Nice thing is, it's becomming water under the bridge these days.

Here's one that I see in many RCT parks - a log flume or splash boats ride with a curve track piece right at the bottom of a large drop. I've seen this often, even in parks built by some of the best park designers. You'll never see this in a real world park; there is always a straight run-off after a large hill. Drives me crazy.
