-People who discriminate EVERYONE who isn't part of their little 'friends' club. Basically, if you're not their friend, they ignore you, aren't curteous to you, act like you don't exist, etc. Also people who are racist against everything; people with different religions (*cough!*alkaida*cough!*taliban*coughcough!*) people who are a different skin color, people who have strange accents, and then REALLY stupid people who are 'racist' (if I should even say) against you for really trivial, unimportant reasons, such as if you don't have an ipod nano or a ps3, you're stupid to them. GARRRG!!! (I get to deal with these people all the time)
-People who curse excessively because they think they sound cool doing it.
-People who intentionally act stupid in order to be like celebrities, there's a few girls I know who act (as well as dress....yugh...) like paris/nicole hilton, always making stupid decisions, being clumsy and they even dyed their hair a blinding white blonde...YARRG!!!
-And unintelligent people who try to act intelligent. These people really, really, CHEESE ME OFF!!!
I'll probably think of more later...

I brought them to my school, and I brought wearing flip flops. A kid down the block from me told me the plaid pants I first wore were retarded, then a week later he bought a pair. Then, I rocked brown and light blue plaid pants with a light blue polo (read next rant), and a week later, this kid who I think who has a strange obsession with me, wears it.
THEN...I wear flip flops to school. It took everyone to get used to seeing me with no shoes on, but now it's all cool. And guess what? The SAME kid that tried to rock my outfit wears these nasty, fuzzy flip flops to school.
People say I should take it as a compliment, but it "grinds my gears". P:

Also, I hate people with their stereotypes. Preps ARE stuck-up rich kids who ACT like they're higher than high. Preps ARE NOT people who wear polos, plaid pants, and dress nicely. Preppy people who are stuck-up and rich may DRESS like that, but that doesn't mean that style of clothing is "preppy". Man, I [STRONGLY DISLIKE WITH A PASSION] that word/tag. So if you ever see a picture of me, don't go off and naming me a prep before you get to know me. Pwees.

Wow, I can keep going.
Immigrants and English.
Why should we, the US-born, "natives" (I use that word carefully), have to learn the language of people that move to OUR country? The language of OUR country is English (it's different for some of you guys, I know) and people should learn to master the language BEFORE moving to this country. Why should I have to repeat my best friends name over the phone multiple times to his aunt, who can't understand her own NEPHEW'S NAME?
It grinds my gears.

^ for a part I do agree with you.
here in the Netherlands we do have many many immigrants also (on such a tiny population as we have, nearly 1/3 already are immigrants), and it IS annoying when even after they have been living here for 10 years you simply cannot exchange the most simple things with them because they don't speak the language (nor English, nor German, nor French or Spanish, but only eastern languages that I don't speak). Goes mostly for elderly people, as they don't pick up languages as easily as younger ones....
On the other hand I always think: if our government -on which we all do have an influence, as we are a democratic country - allows immigrants to come and live here, for whatever reason (can be selfish because we need the working hands, can be for humane reasons) this government, and so we all, also do have the obligation to help these people to master their new language.......
How many languages do you master, Z?
I fully understand your irritation and recognise it, but still,
Suppose that to earn a living for yourself and your family, or because of human right issues, you had to go living in, let's say, Morocco, with an Arabian language and Arabian script........how would you feel if everyone just said "he should have learned the language before he came here........" ? And if nobody would give you any help on mastering it ?(apart from the really different things like completely other norms, religions, ways of living, ways of being socially accepted, etc. etc....).
So, i'm trying to do my little part by giving Dutch lessons to elderly immigrants here, via volunteer work.
To everyone, please think about this one: "If you are not a part of the solution, you are a part of the problem....."

A few of my personal pet peeves:
- people who think they automatically deserve more respect than others, just because of their "position" or because of their money. (imho respect has to be earned every day anew and does not come automatically from any position and certainly not from "money")
- people who are so self-centered that they still think the whole world is turning around their own little ego, instead of being able to realise that we all are just and only a tiny little piece in this big machine called "world", and that there are millions of others too that are at least as important and as valuable as we ourselves....
Btw, what are "flip flops" ??
with excuses to everyone that my "English" as well as my "American" are not perfect , for I also think that Americans don't speak real English, they changed a lot of words of which they even don't know anymore how they are spelled in real "English", changed a lot of syntaxes and absolutely the pronounciation. Perfectly logical and natural development, so nothing wrong with that, but I think it's better to have an own name for each of them.
