Curiously enough, people have reported problems running RCT3 in Vista but not in XP mode. I believe there was a patch somewhere for this - but maybe it was only related.

I did try RCT3 on my wife's laptop (HP dv9000) running Vista and although it would run, it was laggy. Core 2 duo - but it only has 1Gb of RAM, and although it has an nVidia graphics chip - it doesn't share processor time well.

Point being - it runs, but not as well as it could. One of the guys I work with couldn't get RCT3 to run natively on his Vista machine. He changed his system to a dual boot with XP and now it works fine - along with some other older software that didn't play well with Vista.

I'm waiting to hear from folks who will be using the final outta beta public release of Windows 7 this October...

Same here.

I've been running XP since before the announcement that Microsoft was only going to allow Vista on their machines. I lucked out getting a system without Vista. Perfect timing I guess.
