LOL! That's great! I know there's lot's of things wrong with RCT3, but I think this is one thing that really works right, and that's to allow a way for people to experiance that POV. If the screenshots knocked them for a loop, I wonder what will happen if a video POV is made and copied to a disc - they'd be able to share a bit of history with everyone. Very nice job Steve!
Don't get me started on the frustrations of RCT3.
I made a station for the Cyclone at Puritas and had to tweak the ground several times which shifted parts of the station and prevented me from deleting them short of putting the ground back to its original state. And so tedious. What I can slap together in RCT2 in 5 minutes took me more than an hour in RCT3. There simply isn't enough gin in the world to get me to build stations and structures in RCT3!!!!
I was guided to a program called Fraps which supposedly will allow me to copy the pov. I don't know what the final format is. Probably proprietary frap rather than something useable on Windows Media Player. At the moment, I am not keen on installing Fraps. I've had programs downloaded from the net before that blew up my Windows. And, I am too busy to sweep up the mess! Is this thing safe?

CTRL
SHIFT
F11
You'll notice a gargantuan slowdown in the game. That means it's recording everything. To stop the video, just hit the combination again.

Well, don't use anything like Fraps, HyperCam, or ZDSoft. Use the InGame recorder. To use it, press in unison the following:
CTRL
SHIFT
F11

Greetings,
Well, if there is an ingame method to record povs, I have repeatedly missed it in the manual. And, if it works, I'll have to consider you a genius! What I would like is be able to view a pov without having to own RCT3. If that can be done, it could help this Historical Society.
In response to an earlier request for posting those RCT3 screenshots of the Puritas Springs Cyclone:
Unfortunately, I do not have the facilities to post them. I can send direct if you pm me with your email address and request. It is a 6+ meg pack of 45 pics.
Here is an excerpt from the Historical Society's email about the Cyclone @ Puritas Springs recreation in RCT3. Its just too sweet not to repeat.
"Steve
Oh my god! Now I'm pumped! I'm blown away by those RCT3 3D screen shots. I expected it to look good, but this is fantastic! I'm going to email some of these shots to the 12 board members of the West Park Historical Society. They've got to see this!"
Sigh............

Well, I tried your Ctrl-Shift-F11 and it works! You are a genius. I DID notice a gargantuan slowdown with a capital G. Seeing that it would take a couple hours to record a track, I only tried the rollout from the station. In my glee, I don't remember if there was sound. Is there sound?Well, don't use anything like Fraps, HyperCam, or ZDSoft. Use the InGame recorder. To use it, press in unison the following:CTRLSHIFTF11You'll notice a gargantuan slowdown in the game. (Part 1/5)
You'll need to find a place to download the sounds though, that I don't know.

No, but the quality makes up for it. You could try what a user on YouTube does. Here's a link to one of his videos on how to make custom sounds.

That sounds labor intensive. I spent a couple days fashioning out a ravine in RCT3 just to peek at the ride and offer something useable to this society. They will have to come up with someone who either owns RCT3, or pony up for a used copy from Amazon. What format does FRAPS create if I were to do it with Fraps?
The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ, Moves on...... I am working on my Santa Cruz coasters in preparation for a Santa Cruz bench.

BTW, I don't have even an eighth of the patience or attention span to add CUSTOM sounds to my RCT3 videos either. =V
