Can anyone enter this? If so, let me see if I have this right
.
You use the bench that's provided (I already downloaded it and checked it out), make sure you use the two rides that are objectives, and you just have to build a park that is representative of the specific place that is for the round?
Like, build anything you want? As long as it includes the objectives and you use the mandatory bench objects? If you build other rides too, do they count for anything?
This, I can do . I live pretty close to Mexico and go ther eall the time, I might have an advantage here. I saw some of the Road Rally winners from before and I think I have an idea of how everyone sets this up. Like a mini-caricature of the whole country put into a little map?
If I have anything wrong here, please let me know because I think I'll give this a try.

^ You got everything right EMN!

And living close to Mexico for sure will help....!
Apart from the mandatory rides, you can make use of every other ride and all shops that are available in the bench.
And I strongly encourage to build more than just and only the 2 mandatory ones.....
It is not so that "the more rides you build, the better your chances are per se", but in general it for sure can help if you put in some more rides and make them adding to the whole (Mexico-)park; so in this case: when you choose a (or more) flatride(s), theme them, and/or the entrance, and/or the surroundings to Mexico. Same goes for tracked rides and Coasters.
Example: a Snow Bob might be a good choice for Canada or Scandinavia, but seems less fitted and difficult to theme in Mexico; any water-ride can do fine in an island-theme or in a country with lakes or/and a coast or lots of water otherwise, but seems less fitted if the objective is "build a park themed to the desert of Arizona", etc...
So choose your rides to fit the theme, and make them fitting into the theme=country in this case, as much as you can by creating their surroundings, entrances, buildings, que-lines and what not, firtting to the theme.
It all will be weighted in the judging.
Cannot wait for your entries, and: have fun with it!!!

Xin: Alright! '08 Road Rally! I just came over from NE, and thought I'd give it a try. I've taken 2 1/2 years of Spanish class, so I think Mexico should be a pretty easy theme. You can count me in!
^ Great to see you here also , Xin, and Yessss!! use all what you have learned in those Spanish classes.
Looking forward to your entry very much. (i've counted you in!)
Hey Xin glad you entering it'll be nice to see an entry from you. Unfortunatly I'm going to have to give this month a miss due to MM over at Ne and a few other projects. Your'll be seeing a mexican theme from me soon i'm sure. It's a beutiful country.

^ Pity JK, you cannot enter this one with that challenging nice country, but yeah...I know, there are only 24 hours in a day which for sure are not enough to do everything you (and I, lol!) want to do.
Will be looking forward very much to your next MM-entry and then later maybe for a RR-entry here ? (many months/themes to come still... )
Thank you for the compliments, but...eehhh...

Thanks for the warm welcome! I know I've learned a lot in Spanish class, but I'm worried that my archy won't carry me the rest of the way through. It's worth a shot though!

Late responses for the win. =V Anyhow, I've been to Mexico, and it's actually a lot the same as the US, except of course, for Chichen Itza (Awesome stone pyramidz). I remember it so well... =) And yeah, I'll probably be entering.
That would be great if you can enter ClockworkMyr!
.....hmm... you think Mexico is actually the same as the US???

Well, it's long ago I've been to the US (and by far have not seen all of this huge and diverse country) and I've never been to Mexico.
So I cannot really compare it.
But......if I google, I do get quite another impression of Mexico than of most thngs in the US.
Maybe some extra tips on what I did for every RR, especially if I had never been to a certain country:
-1) I read the Wikipedia-article on the country, to get some background information and to note down some highlights/specialties.
2) I googled on the country, (and later on the highlights), and let it show me images.
A lot of those can give beautiful impressions of what a country is like.
I especially love the pictures of bloggers who are backtracking through a country, as those often give a far more realistic and authentic impression of the country than the official sites and travel-companies (although even those last ones sometimes have surprising spots to show you).
Have fun!
