ONE: Was a nice Chrismassy park. The goat was imaginative and cool I thought it was a great touch of tradition and history. I liked the candelabrum for the gate. Imaginative! Great "Christmas Feel"! The archy was done with very good ideas. The colors and the selection of textures, really made it feel like an Old World village or town square. Nice selection of footpaths and at least the designer included a handyman & mechanic to fix things and water the flowers. Thoughtful. I wasn't too hot for bringing the structures right up to the edge of the property. But it's great none the less. I give it a

TWO: Gave me the feeling like traveling on a train through a mountain area, that had experienced a blizzard. OH! There could of been an Avalanche, come to think of it. Not much "Christmas Decorations" out in the middle of nowhere. But the station is buried and just the rooftops were sticking out of the snowdrifts. There is some archy, but it too seems buried under the snow. For mountain scenery, it seems you can't have too much archy. It's a cool little train attraction with tunnels and a bit of "over & under" elements. A "simple" park. I give it a  also.

Like the others have mentioned, park TWO wasn't quite as good as the first one, but is still a decent entry. I liked the double-circuit over/under train ride and the wintery feeling (which reminds me of the Holiday season) very much, but felt the park could have used more buildings, such as a train station. At least the builder should have built something to cover-up the ride's entrance & exit buildings. One other thing I would have done is to split up the up-hill sections of the train track. The RCT trains move too slow when climbing more than a single hill section in sequence.

The split-hill might be something you might be able to do with a larger park.
With one that's just 15x15, you really don't have the space to allow a length
of track to allow the trains to get up to speed, to make it to the second level.
I tried to build a train layout, and it just doesn't have the space required to
use the split-hill technique. The trains still go slow, until the last car crests
the hill. Even then, it needs a long flat track to allow it to gain momentum.
Like someone pointed out earlier, "Too much train". Yet, we have another
opinion that says theres not enough. Kinda makes the head swim. Don't it??
Thing is, people will build things one way, and someones going to say,
"Nahh, I don't like it that way." It just boils down to an opinion, and
people will make a choice. If we went by everyone's opinion, we
wouldn't be able to build anything, for fear that someone, somewhere
"ain'ta gonna like it."
:phew:
In this case, the small park size doesn't seem to accomidate the
split-hill ideal. So it made sense that the two-level rise was used,
even though it caused the trains to slow down for a while. The
rest of the ride is pretty much normal speed. So sacrifices, it
seems, had to be made to accomidate for the size of the park.
:)
Still... can't wait for the next park to hit the forum. It's been
fun discussing these, thus far. But I hope the next ones better.

I was thinking this was a friendly, low-key Holiday project where everyone - no matter their skill level, was welcome to send in a park...

Good, bad, or incomplete, I enjoy everyone's efforts in the Spirit of the Season.

ONE: This one was quite nice. The Scenery was amazing, and it had a nice, "Christmas in the Park" sort of feel.

TWO: A bit too barren for my taste. There wasn't much there besides the train and some trees. However, that did give it a snow feeling, so I guess it could be a positive.

THREE: I loved the architecture, but it was a bit cramped with that maze there. Still, a great park, with a nice Christmas feel.

Park Two was indeed a blizzard gulch and I really liked what the parkmaker was going for. It doesn't have to be "Christmasy" to give a holiday feel.

Park Three was a Christmas Factory!!! and wow, what a lot of rides were packed in there. Loved the reindeer stable, nice idea :D

Park # 3:

Good idea, that Christmas factory!
And lovely, so many rides in it......
Very nice touch also, those stables! Liked that very much.

Architecture was a bit "blocky", but yea...it's a factory after all, and the nice Christmas-colours made up for that I think.

Emergo :D
