Whats wrong with normal notepad?

Ive got so much PHP gear on my computer now, I guess i dont need a server to create some stuff.

The only problem with normal Notepad is that you have to count the lines out unless you have /*41*/ at the front of every line.

Try Java Script Source for some cool effects and stuff - you just copy and paste and thats pretty much it. easy!

I downloaded that TextPad, seems pretty useful, except it sometimes confuses '>' inside commented parts of my code as the ending tag for my PHP, so it shows up blue :)

I have CuteFTP (lol) and it came with CuteHTML which is very useful because you can open it directly from CuteFTP. It shows the line numbers and everything so i like it.

Any programs for editing and debugging or whatever javascript? :"> Now that IE doesn't show some of the errors, this would help. Please?

Not that I know of. You could take a look at this page for a guide - http://www.javaworld...javascript.html

I tend to stay away from javascript unless it's absolutely necessary.

I use Javascript Sorce for all my Javascript needs. :)

I prefer vi to edit. running Apache-AdvancedExtranetServer/2.0.44 (Mandrake Linux/11mdk) mod_perl/1.99_08 Perl/v5.8.0 mod_ssl/2.0.44 OpenSSL/0.9.7a PHP/4.3.1

(no I did not type that in, I copied and basted from a browser tab with localhost in the address bar.

and I check my HTML against the w3c (x)HTML validator
