I am still excited, very excited, it's just that there are no surprises anymore, not too many new innovations or techniques. I still play the game for hours on end every day, and still enjoy it. And it's not getting really boring for me, just a little bit, and last time i said that, it took me 4 years to get totally bored with it, so i still have time. RCT excitement comes in waves for me, today just hasn't been an rct day...

Yeah, things have slowed down some for the earlier game versions, although rct3 continues to have new discoveries all the time yet, and on the horizon is TPB, so I think there's will be things to 'recharge' you soon.

Exactly, I can't wait until, either, somebody makes custom rides for rct3 (because I do have the game and both expansions, just I don't play it) or TPB3D comes out, whichever comes first.

I think no one responded because there has not been a successful custom ride created for RCT3 yet. Lots of custom scenery - but rides are still way off in the distance.

Much time has passed since I posted this^. There are now quite a few custom rides as well as custom cars for tracked rides. I use some myself, and it makes RCT3 a new experience with each new piece of custom designed work.

If you haven't had a chance to get some - do it quickly as the majority of the sites that hosted this stuff are closing faster than speakeasy's in a FED's raid... Already some of the older custom scenery and rides are unavailable online. :(

That's sucks (The site closures, not the rides). I can't believe as reciently as 2008 custom rides were thingsof imagination.
I hope someone has a personal back-up of custom rides out therethat would be willing tohost on a website for a lost-and-found.
Maybe you could make a section in the downlaods for lost and found objects that people could upload to things that are lost in cyberspace, and a moderator would have to approve it before it becomes availablefor download. And if you are worried about script hacks, you could let only people in a sort of "trust group" upload. After all, there are some people you can trust (me).

Previewing files is of course how I would want it handled - however what concerns me more is the decidedly unfriendly notices that accompany some custom works. "Don't even think of making this available anywhere but here" is but one sample. Others say not to host without creator's permission, but no way to contact the creator. Some do not specify, but the site last hosting them claim exclusive rights to host.

I would love to be able to make the "lost toys" of RCT3 available, but I respect creators and other hosts feelings on the matter - even though I don't necessarily agree with their tone.

rctmart had (no wait - has. they're keeping that section) a section for that. Here's what they did: They did all they could to contact the creator of the objects, if they said yes, they put it up, if they said no, they didn't, and if they were no where to be found they put it up with a note that if YOU were the creator and YOU wanted them down then e-mail this address and they will be removed immediately.
Couldn't we do something like that?

I think that could be amazing idea, and i think it could work. People have been telling me that you might be able to import RCT3 stuff into the new RCT4 when it comes out and if so, i would be happy to import all my CS, CFR and CTR into RCT4 and i hope it will work.

^Just so you know .. it's highly unlikely that you will be able to import CS/CFR/CTR from RCT3 to RCT4. RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 will most likely be using a whole new engine and graphics.

Don't get your hopes up. ;)
