Becky, if you were to start the workbench now, I might start my next park.

Big congrats to all RCMajesty-members on winning this one with a very, very nice park! It's a good thing to see how active this club is, and with such fine results....!!!!

On this being a "working" cell-park however, I do have some doubts......but you already said you did not have time anymore to fully check and repair that, which, like Becky already expressed, is a great pity. Because it is what does have to distinguish entries for this one from so many others contests and is - imo- the core and challenge of this contest...(but I do know what a hell of a task it is to exactly live up to all those peep-rules and still make a nice park out of it..... )
However, if you just repair that broken entrance in the second cell (that can happen to any park and I'm sure it was not intentional) and don't care about all peeps being stuck and 99% never reaching the last cell, it further lived up to the rules anyway, so I fully agree with Becky for making this one the deserved winner of this year's Cell-Contest.

First thing that caught me was how you all, working with so many people on so many areas, succeeded in making such a coherent park out of it with smooth transitions. I think doing the paths with those borders of different paths added a lot to that also. (accident or some great coordination here?) Anyway, it was a marvellous unity.

In architecture the entrance/Austria part was my favourite. Some lovely buildings and great custom-made details there (like that medieval throwing-thing on the castle! don't know the name in English)

But all other sections had great things as well, and I kept wandering and wandering: some very nice buildings and solutions in the American part:the black and blue trees don't work for me, but I loved the fresh colours and crispy architecture, good Belgian feel with that Durbuy-ride (I've been often in that part of Belgium, and every road there always seem to lead to Durbuy, LoL!), awesome German part with the Brandenburger Tor and very impressive and well-executed arches between East and west, and nice found that walls with the "graffity",
and yep! really British/London feel with those fabulous Houses of Parliament and Bank of England etc. ,
and even a very nice "Netherlands-part". ("Even" is of course because I come from there myself, so I am extra-critical on that one, LoL!): the "red light district" could have been made a bit more authentical and exciting, as now it seems you only fitted it in as an "obliged landmark" of Amsterdam. But okay, this is a family-site, so better that you let them all be busy and closed their windows.......
Very nice Dutch houses, but a bit small/low compared to their width for Amsterdam, although the great work on the roofs with that supports fully makes up for that.
Doing the coaster into the Euromast (instead of a Drop-tower or free-fall-or looking-tower, which would have come to mind first) is very original and you executed it with great skill and as best as could be done I think.....but it necessarily takes away a lot I think from this landmark, which in reality is utmost slim and high ( I nearly grew up aside it, Lol!, as my father's office was 200 metres from there.....)
Very fitting dykes and very nice found that "graandolhof", and an amazing windmill (I did 6 different types of windmills in MM for "the windmills of my mind", they are smaller and rather cute too I think, but this one for sure blows them away.....literally as well as figuratively!)

Conclusion: for the peep-objectives of a "cell-park" I had slightly hoped to see something more cared-for and intriguous ( and again: I understand!), but it resulted in a truly wonderful park and I can see how you struggled with those complicated rules and did all efforts to try and make them work as best you could within the circumstances..

And again: lovely teamwork! All my kudoos for that also. Great job!

So: thank you.

okay,

Emergo I fully agree with your comments about the cell part, I also noticed we would get some troubles with that. BUT keep in mind that you made your park alone so you could plan out everything and knew which ride would be made where.
In this case we made it with a lot of members .... it was a hard job alone to get the park moving (for the account, its made in two months) so we where glad when we saw some finnished things.
In the end we encountered numerous problems alone with the paths and coasters already, so by the time those things where fixed we hadn't time for fixing other things anymore.
For example the ER's of the british and german area where else first, the british area was lower and the german area higher, this was the same problem in the american an belgium area. This is because mostly the coasters where made before and than the park went to someone else who made his whole area with an ER above the previous one, but after that previous one was themed it had a higher ER and we spend a lot of time fixing these ER's without removing so much.
You say the park is almost an unity, this is because our builders can react on the others building style, and we've got some people who are very good in mimicking to, so the parts between the areas are sometimes done by others etc....
the numbers of guests past Euromast was just because I opened a path leading to this area while building to see if peeps want to go in the coaster.

About the red light district, this is maybe a bit of a cruel joke from my part, but if you watched closely you see that the red light district is on the path leading from the english area. I've done this on purpose because most tourists from england come in holland for two things, the red light district and the beer/drugs shops, thats why the paths lead further in the drugs area (altough it did on the start, but in the end I added another path directly to the coaster because of peep friendlyness).
well like you might know I live in a polder to so I've seen some mills in my live already (and I see a dike out of my window) so these things weren't so hard for me to make :P .

One thing I found very nice in the dutch area is that you actually can't see who made what part of it. I want to challenge people to name what I made and what ivo made :P .

^yep, I keep that in mind.

Making the park alone absolutely did have it's advantages in planning, but of course also the dis-advantages of having to do everything yourself ( for the account then, I also made the park - just alone- in two months!! :P ...wish I could do that still now...)

But then, often it will be much more difficult to get moving, make, coordinate, adjust, a park with so many people working on it, and then finish it within a few months....and then having this truly beautiful result.......that is outstanding (team-)work!.
So again, all my admiration and appreciation for accomplishing that!!!

Emergo :D

^I didn't finish my entry, so I didn't want to send it in. I still got alot of work done on it, so I plan to finish it up and release it when I'm done. I might start a topic for it in the CZ if I start to get some decent work done on it...

...hey...that's a pretty good idea...
