What are the specs on your laptop? Maybe you are trying to get performance that exceeds your capacity...

Just be glad that you don't have 6 hard drives that equals to just over a terrabyte of storage. I am thinking of condensing those drives to 4 when I get a couple of the 750 bg and 1tb drives. Even with what I have it takes around 3 hrs to defrag one drive.

It takes less time if you do it more often, does it not?
I have slightly less than a TB, and I have not spent three hours defragging both drives. An hour is a long time.

I am doing things in a some time duration. It will effect my computer and speed up my system. It decrease the waste of the hard-disk and manage the hard-disk space.

Three reasons of it first is a it take longer to defrangment, in online forums. No time to wait for it. It is very hard work, when you defrag every week, it ridiculous unless you are constantly downloading any applications or software or deleting lots of programs at a time.
