As promised, here's a couple shots of the completed Main Street and the canal;

The time period seems a tad later than Colonial in some areas - entryways for example. Lack of chimneys and the occasional balcony over the entrance. Too much signage for Colonial - looks more Industrial Revolution.

Surprisingly better. Much more "Colonial" don't you think? Given the limitations of the pieces you have to work with of course.

I believe shyguy had some signage in one pack that included one that was shaped like a block of cheese, signage similar would really fit I think, otherwise it really looks great! The only other thing that pops into my mind is to maybe experiment with adding a dormer or two on the roof...that would also be a Colonial feature I believe.

Dormers were very Colonial.
