every ride except shops can break down. but they normally rarely do it unless you use them in hacks :) .

btw seeing a merry goes aroung breaking down is cool :P .

A mini golf can't break down!

LOL, you are right about the merry-go-round!

ive seen merry go rounds and spiral slides break down all the time!

i just thought of two ways to deal with a ride that breaks down a lot because of hacks.

1. release the park closed. shops closed, rides closed, no peeps

2. Put a mechanic on patrol near the exit and set staff speed to very fast with a trainer. that way he'll fix the ride fast.

Do you hate it also if you have worked a long time on a hack and finally got it right but you coaster keep breaking down.
well you could use the realability patch or trainer but did you know there is a other way also?

if you change the track type of your oparating ride to shop(all types) it will become invisible but also won't break down (because shops can't break down).
if you don't want it to be invisible you can place a other (fake) track one clearence under the original track so it would seem if the cars just go over the track :) .

if someone has any additions or other ways please say it :) .

I could have sworn I replied to this earlier. This is a good idea Levis, although there is one thing that I could suggest differently. Instead of putting the "dummy" track below the real one, which causes cars to float above the track, you could put it at the same level, but in the opposite direction. This way when you lower it, 8 cars won't merge the tracks because they go the opposite way.

Just give me a driver and I'm sure I could do it. You could also cause it to close down by hitting the windmill with your putter. ;)

Both very good ways Ben, although shops don't need to be closed. The park being closed doesn't have an effect on your hacks, nor do the peeps. This is dependent on the parkmaker's preference. If peeps are in the park when the game is saved, the file will be larger though.

Because the park has been hacked, does this mean that it's not possible to use humble programmer's Saved Game Modifier? This can wipe out all the peeps in your park, reset the age of all rides to zero, etc. It won't stop them breaking down, but it will make them more reliable.

Is there an RCT2 Save Game Modifier?!?. Please, give me the link to it right now I've only got the RCT1 Save Game Modifier and I would find that tool very useful. I also have a question: Is it possible to make golfers become rollercoaster trains because I think that would be really funny if you could do that. :P

Wait a minute, I've seen this program before. I haven't used it for years though and it hasn't got as many features as the RCT1 Save Game Modifier. I think I might find this useful but it's not as good as I thought it would be. I'm sure the hacking part is fun on it though but I just don't have the time. Also, I can't get golfers to work it just crashes my computer.
