Atari doesn't say much of anything...which is one of the reasons Frontier set up their own!

Um ... atari did say something. If you have an s3 or sis video card, dont bother asking for help, because rct3 won't work. That is the best thing they said, and I have sis so I can't play rct3. If someone could make a patch to allow sis and s3 video cards ... I'd appreciate it.

Since the post you quoted from was over a year old, and there's nothing planned from Atari or Frontier for any new version, expansion, update or patch now or anytime in the future, I don't think the odds are very good.
