I'm sorry to see you angry over this camcorder, but considering this is a competition, not all entries can be posted. You enter the competition to win don't you? Yes, and the park that won was announced, alongside the second and third place which almost got there. What happens if we have 20 people enter in a month? You want them all uploaded to be downloaded by people on the RCT Space Network net space? I'm afraid that isn't possible considering the amount of content the site holds with the extremely large forums, all the parks from past contests, VP's (RCT2 and RCT3) plus all the graphics, videos (hollywood hills) and info on the site.

However, feel free to release your entry in the loading zone for people to comment on. If you continue to improve, then soon enough you may see your park up there for people to download. It may have been a particularly strong round this one, so you may have been unlucky not to win. We do encourage as many people to enter as possible, but not all parks can get announced I'm afraid.

Thanks for the comments. I'm a little disappointed that I don't get 04/05 in my title, but when going against Six Frags, runner-up is an honor. This was fun park for me to make, and I really felt like it shows a lot of improvement compared to my previous work. That's what I really like about the Road Rally, is that they let me develope and show my improvement, but in a shorter period of time. The greatest problem I've had with building large parks is that my style ends up changing halfway through, but with these it's just each park that has a differing style.

Congratulations to Six Frags and Ultratycoon. While there was a lot that I really like in my park compared to yours (Six Frags), your park have a much better feeling of coherence compared to mine, was more colorful, had a better layout, generally had better archy, and the naming was miles better. I also liked that your park had a lot of differences in landscaping height. Your approach to a transportation ride was innovative too; they have something like that at Europa Park. The naming was very good in Ultratycoon's too, which is one of 2 things I really didn't like about my park. I'm actually somewhat embarrassed about how poorly the shops, restaurants, and even the park were named. Normally I pride myself on good naming, but I was trying to do it all in Spanish for a time, but I don't know much Spanish, and therefore it just turned out really bad. Plus, I ran out of time, and I probably could've used another hour or two to think of good names. For example, even the name of my park is bad. I meant for it to be "Spain" (Espana with a ~) by I ended up naming it Espanola without checking the translation, then I found out after I'd sent it in that that just means "Spanish," which still sort of works.

About your park, Ultratycoon. You could've used some more color, but I don't mind the lack of color that much, since much of Spanish architecture isn't that colorful. Also, you should've used some shrubbery and flowers close to some of the paths, because all the tall trees obscure a lot. And I didn't really like that "La Manta Diablo" went underwater, but that's just me. Your aquaduct recreation was good, and I was pleased that you included an aquacoaster. The kids play area was a nice touch too.

"Xi's Espanda is also highly commendable."

Thanks. About the name though, it actually is XI's: Espanola. However, as I mentioned, that isn't much of an improvement.

"I think the windmill was the most original architectural idea I've ever seen."

I was very happy with how the windmill came out, especially since that whole ride only took about an hour, and I originally didn't think I'd be able to do anything on that side of the park in time (last days work, along with much of the rest of the park). However, the windmill idea isn't original. I've seen it in several other parks, but I do think that even if I had never seen those parks it still would've come out just as nice. I do think it's only the second time I've seen it with a Don Quixote ride though :phew: . Yeah, there was another one. I emember it was an out and back wooden coaster in a park by Vulcan91. That was from one of my favorite old RCT1 parks.

"Just a little comment, and please think of this as constructive criticism. The roofs of your buildings were somewhat dull, with most empahsis on the roof over The Voyage."

Trust me, I know it. The only constructive criticism I might get grumpy about is if people complain too much about the use of Spanish roof tiles (which people often do), since I think as it is a *Spanish* park it very much deserves to have Spanish roof tiles. Anyways, as you were saying, the roofing and architecture around "Voyage" was miserable. That was also because I really rushed that. I'd originally planned on making that ride a well themed "Columbus finding the new world" type thing with a storm scene, a "off the charts" monster scene, whirlpool, etc. In my opinion, that ride, and it's surroundings really dragged down the park. I'd also originally planned on having the facade for it being some of the surrounding turrets from the Castille de Alcazar, to go with the big keep building, but I only made two of those, and they're very ineffective. That was the ride I'd originally planned the park around, but it ended up being really lousy. With another week or so I think I could've gotten this park looking very nice. But, anyways, I do need to improve on roofing overall, and I'll try to work on that in my next Road Rally entry. I plan on entering about two more.

I'll try to update my website later and put up some pics here and on there. I'll ramble even more about my park there as well. I sure like to talk about my parks, don't I?

I don't agree with the judging here. X by far had the best park, it was accurate, clean, and I felt as if I were back in Spain myself. There was so much time spent on the little details in the park, I loved the pathing and the layouts as well as the architecture. It really is one of my favorite minis to look at, especially since I know from experiece how much effort Xcoaster puts into his work. I thought SF's was nice as a park, but I didn't know where I was. It just seemed like that rocky landscape with a woodie on a mountain and a water ride in another corner, and I got the impression that more time was spent on building rather than concept, which was the other way around with X. Congrats to all, but I still think that X deserves the 04 and 05 January titles.

Uhm, in case you looked at my park, you know one area was themed to the Pyreneeën (dunno the translation, but the mountains in the North of Spain), and right next to it (like in real-life) is Catalonia, featuring Goudi's Sagrada Familia;

Maybe I should've wrote a read-me, explaining all the references to Spain, but obviously I didn't have the time for it...
Most important for me is though, that I had fun building it, and that I like the result of the park...

This was a very close call for me.

X's gave a more Spanish feel, and seemed to have more Spanish references. I loved the conquisatador reference.

However, I felt the quality of SF's park was better, showing nicer architecture and landscaping and overall better parkmaking abilities.

I'd say SF just edges it....

Six Frags' was up to the usual quality. The landscaping was nice, but the foliage was terrible (of what was there) and I wish you had more time into that, but obviously, there were time constraints. The woodie wasn't the best part of it actually; personally I thought the area around the Splash Boats was the best, with the best landscaping and water usage. The woodie was just okay for me. It used the landscape well, but it had some poor pacing areas, and its station was lacking.

XCoaster's was very good. The coaster was probaly just a tad worse than Six Frags' in my book. The layout was solid with some great interactions, but the coaster didn't use enough of the landscape. Plus, I didn't really like it's brighter colors. Anyways, next came the strong suit of the park, the archy. The archy was very nice and very creative, and better than SF's actually.

It was very close, but I'd have to give SF the nod 'cause the landscaping throughout. XCoaster, you should really consider making a large scale solo; you have the talent to be NE quality.

Chill man, its not like you have almost everybody here at this site think you're god because of all your awards anyways. Its just the fact that I've been to the Pyrenees and still didn't feel that atmosphere in your area shows my point. The churche's towers are basically in a straight line in real life, and they make a square in your version so I guess that's why I didn't recognize it. Most of the rest of the park actually reminded me of Russia much more than Spain anyway. If somebody didn't know the object of the contest and looked at yours and X's park, its not even close as to which park would give it away.
