All functions don't work... it looks like the trainer doesn't initialize, because when starting up other/older versions (1.30 and beyond) a message pops-up saying that the trainer is initialzed...Were you trying any function in particular? Some of the functions like zero/restore clearances crashed the game when done via hotkey. I left them out of the interface. The key shortcuts for them still work with 8cars.exe as the active window.
The file 8carsfunc.dll must be in the same folder as 8cars131.exe, but you will get an error theu aren't.
I'm running the Dutch language, maybe that has something to do with it?
Do other Dutchies also have this problem?
I'll try installing the English version, and look if that helps...
