I don't think I have ten picks of each, but I'll elaborate on the ones I do.
BEST...
1. RCT2 with both expansions. I really enjoyed 1 and I'm sure it would still be hot in my book if not for rct2. I do like to go to the Razor Rocks scenario in 2 and remenisce. Razor Rocks was the first park where I really started to feel like a tycoon. Like I was running the game instead of the game running me. lol
2. Diablo2 with expansion. I still play this pretty often and have developed each of the characters, right now I am developing a level 38 barbarian named "Bombo".
Bombo is working towards a 4 socket flail filled with perfect emeralds. I don't know if you guys know this, but emeralds increase damage exponentially when used together in a weapon. I had one with another barb that handed out 1500 to 1700 worth of poison smack over 8 seconds!!!
All I had to do was touch a monster and run away for 8 seconds and it took care of the hardiest brute.
3. Rise of Nations Gold. I didn't see anyone mention it, but I have only read the first few pages. My basic strategy is "Fort Thx". I almost robotically finagle my way to all the wonders but 2. I like to play with 4 nations with mine in the top corner. A big order of business is extending my territory into the center where the heavy mountains are and put up a growing wall of defense to protect it.
Then the fun starts...
The enemy nation directly opposite me is between 2 enemy nations... I take a small party and incite wars between these nations. The one in the middle finds themself in a two front war and are slowly carved up at either end. After this, I am inciting wars between the two remaining while I build up my defenses, improve my infrastructure and build large batteries of non-nuke missiles and play "push button" warfare until the two enemies finish. (I might assault the more powerful nation more often; and most of the remainder of the game is what I like to call "balance of power"... (with me the superpower that keeps the other two in check.) (And at war with each other.)
Finally before the stronger finishes off the underdog completely I step in and make it a "colony" or protectorate of sorts and ring it's capitol with towers and keep it oppressed while I work on the remaining power which I beat down and ring like it were Disneyland .
I will mention Locomotion, I love train sets!
Worst games...
1. Zeus. Bought it for $10. Has some nice features, but can be a stoopid pain in the butt. Structures fall down 5 minutes after you put them up and you are constantly being interrupted by messages from CG "players".
Hey, I play games to have FUN, not be pestered and constantly disappointed.
2. Zoo Tycoon. Kind of cool, but quite frankley I expect more than "kind of cool" from Microsoft, that's why it gets the #2 spot.
3. Mall Tycoon. Yeah, this game wasn't much fun when you were winning.
4. Casino Tycoon or Casino Empire... You basically lay out a casino floor and gamble to expand your empire. Like Mall tycoon it is too shallow to play for more than an evening.
5. Sim-city. About as much fun as watching an ant farm. Who wants the hassles of being a mayor and city planner?
6. Civilization. This really isn't a "building" game... you take your turn and come back later and see what happened. Great for sociologists.
7. Highland Warriors. Watered down version of MS's Age Of Empires. Might as well play AOE.
8. Circus Tycoon. This was pretty weak. After much pain and suffering you get to build a three ring big top. Not much of a brass ring to shoot for.
RCT3... nice game in some ways, but super dissappointed it's not a Chris Sawyer game.
Well, that's all I can think of for now, lol.
edit: Whoops, left out WOW... I don't like games where you have to control the character with the arrow keys... too awkward.
Thx

10. CastleVania 1- It's kind of low here because of the Medusa heads.
9. Mortal Kombat- TOASTY!!!
8. RCT 1- Fun, addictive, challenging.
7. Super Mario 64- Essential N64 game.
6. F-Zero X- Love the track layout, the soundtrack, everything.
5. Metal Gear Solid 4- Action gaming at its perfection.
4. Banjo-Kazooie- First video game I ever got.
3. LoZ: Ocarina of Time- One of my all-time favorites. Now shut up, Navi!
2. Super Mario Bros 3- Classic must-have for any gamer.
1. Star Crusader- the hipster's Wing Commander, in case you've never heard of it
Bottom 10
10. Mall Tycoon- How do you even get started?
9. Sim Theme Park- annoying RCT knockoff.
8. Simpsons Road Rage- disappointing voice acting from the original actors, stiff controls, cars appear out of thin air and can stop you dead in your tracks- even if you drive a much larger vehicle.
7. WrestleMania (NES)- A basic bash 'em up with dollar bills and sunglasses, depending on who's in the ring, going across the ring (Ted DiBiase, Randy Savage, etc). I don't get it.
6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)- Same reason as anyone else- the swimming level
5. Jaws (NES)- played it once. Hated it.
4. Starfox Adventures- doesn't even feel like a Starfox game
3. Stuntman- maybe it's a problem with my copy, but the menu is screwed up and a cpu driver just starts smashing his car
2. Ski Resort Tycoon- a five star resort doesn't look like a resort, trust me
1. (I haven't played it, but) Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing- "You're Winner!"

IV: Ace Combat series (avid fan, 04 and 6 in particular)
III: Galaga (yes, no lie!)
II: Too many choices...
I: RCT 2
...and the best of the worst:

And the bottem of the entire pack:
I: Big Rig Over the Road Racing! (I would never play this game-EVER!)
