People who don't use good grammar on the interwebnets, and when you come to a red light, your windows open, and so is the person's next to you, and they've got their friggin rap music blasting.

Metaphors; they're a bunch of flies! (pulled away by a cane)

But in all seriousness, the litter at my school. Its astonishing how much trash pave the floor of the school. When someone finishes what they're eating, they don't toss it into a trash can, they toss it on the ground! Or where ever they finish eating. Not to say that all the students at my school are to be judged against, but what will the outsiders think when they look at our campus?

"Why should I bring my kid here? There's a cleaner school just on the other side of town..."

"Wow, there's a lot of litter here. I'll mark them down for this..."

"(takes picture) This is perfect propoganda for our own school!"

Okay, some of those may be a tad extreme, but litter still doesn't make a good impression!

What drives me nuts is when a disaster, such as the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2003, hits, people send money to the victims. Wouldn't supplies help more than money?

Supplies are too bulky to transport great distances in short time.

Money can be electronically transferred in seconds, and supplies can be purchased locally. This is more efficient and more effective in that it not only fills the need for supplies but helps the more local economies by purchasing locally and transporting over much, much shorter distances. The money doesn't go directly into the hand of a "victim", but the support groups on the scene who can use the expanded purchasing power to get quantities of supplies and materials at quantity discounts and also arrange delivery. Something that would be hard for a "victim" to do without a home, no phone, no lights, no motorcar - not a single luxury...
