I have several forums that I want to transfer to the domain. And I have no idea how I go about doing that. I'm thinking that I'd better just scrap the forums, because they are less than a few months old, and start anew. (Their sort of screwed over anyway.) Would this make it any easier to simply create new boards and have them start "life" on the new domain right from the start? I hear from their support forum that a few key features are lost after a forum is moved. So I thought if it's "born" on the proper domain in the first place, all features would work.
I have a source at free power boards, and while I like the admin control panel interface, as they are at the moment, the boards are pretty darned slow. (You can say "darned" on the internet, can't cha?) The whole idea about getting a domain was so that the boards would be faster. Would this solve my problem? Or am I just wasting money this way?
Finally, if I create the new replacement forums on my own domain, does this alter any of the services that they would provide, like updates, alternative board themes, and mods? And would it kill the stinkin' spam/ads that they put on them?
Any help in this matter would be most helpful. And Wolfie would be very appreciative.
