The ROAD RALLY SEASON 2008 IS OPENED AGAIN!!

The Road Rallies will be held in January-February, March, May, July , and September . There will be one Winner and possibly two Runner-ups each of those months and all winners/runner-ups will be invited to participate in the Final Road Rally of the Year in November, with the chance to become the Road Rally Champion of 2008..

The judging will be done by the Competitions Coordinator, assisted by other staffmembers when needed.

Each Road Rally month will have a specific country to theme your park around. The theme will be based on what country the Road Rally is taking place that month.

The contest will be RCT2 only .

There will be a set of directions to follow, objectives to be met. The goal is to build the best themed map, meeting all the objectives, and finishing by the deadline.

You will usually have about 6 weeks to build your park. The winners will get a member title: "January Road Rally Winner" , for example, or "July Road Rally Runner-up". Each month we run the Road Rally contest, new objectives will be assigned and the Road Rally will be in another country.

This year, the Road Rallies will be all over the world and you won't know where it will be held until it is time to announce the country and Road Rally for that month.

- Checkpoints : You will be given a series of objectives that must be completed. For example...build a go karts ride and a wooden coaster.

-Workbenches:
For every Road Rally either a new workbench will be provided, or it will be told which former one you have to use for that round. You are only allowed to use this official workbench for your entry.
The map size is ca. 50X50, And CAN NOT be changed!!!! You can take the bench into the editor to move or change the entrance, but that is the only change which is allowed to the bench!!! You cannot change or add any rides or scenery to the map. You must use what is available. You can build any rides that are available and use any shops/stalls that are available. You can of course landscape the workbench.

You can download the workbench for the January-February contest here:

2008 Road Rally Workbench - JANUARY

-Trainers: Trainers and Hacking are allowed.
The park is closed with a trainer. The park must also be closed when you submit your entry.
If you like to build it RCT-peep-friendly, you can open the park with a trainer for testing-purposes etc. But before you submit it you have to sweep out all guests and close the park again.
You can use a trainer for building purposes, but remember that the actual rides and scenery cannot be changed or added to.

-Submitting Entries: Send all entries to : rctspacecontests@gmail.com, zipped with the applicants’ Park name Road Rally and Forum username. Example: "Greece Road Rally-emergo". The Deadline will be given in the specific months rules.

-Received Entries: The first post of each new months Competition will contain a Received Parks List. As I receive entries, your name will be added to the list.

If you sent a park and your name is not added to the list, it will be for one of the following reasons:
1. I didn't receive it.
2. It was corrupt and wouldn't open.
3. You changed the ride or object selection.(I made the bench, I will notice)
4. One or more of the objectives were not completed.
5. You need some patience, for while I generally check the site every day, some days are too busy with other things for me to do so (please remember that all staffmembers here are volunteers, doing their job on the site alongside many other responsibilities in normal life)

If any of the above happens, you will not be informed automatically. It will be up to you to figure out the problem and resubmit the park.

-Winning Parks: Only each months Winner and Runner-up's( if any ) will be posted for download. Non winning parks submitted for the competition can be released at the discretion of the builder, after the completion of each months round.

DUDE! GERMANY PWNS! But it should be easy enough for you to figure out. It'll say the same thing she said for the ride in the game. It's a roller coaster on steeple chase track (the cars kinda look like little wooden boats)

anyway....

WOOHOO!! THE 2008 ROAD RALLY IS HERE!!!!!

Mexico's archy style should be easy enough to do, it's very recognizable...I'll definitely try to get an entry in! Good luck peeps!

^ Lol! I'm Dutch, and now I have to translate this one from my game in English to Dutch to German.... Really no idea what it is in German, and my dictionary won't help...
(but please let me know if you have the German translation... am curious to learn that one.....!)

Anyway, Levis already described it for you, and here is a pic to show you:

^ Thank you Fr3ak for translating!

And neither have I (used them before), and also....I have never seen it in a theme-park either...I only remember my -long deceased- grandfather telling that when he was a little kid, they used to make those cars out of "soap-boxes-Seifenkisten" and then race down with them from a hill or sloped street.....
