Hello everyone

At the moment, does any trainer or patch or hex edit exist that allows you to alter the number of max allowed objects (ride/scenery) for the scenario editor? I really wanna be able to use a lot of the game's objects as well as all of Amazing Earl's for a park I have in mind but of course I can't. I dont get why they dont have a straight up sandbox mode that lets you do whatever you want. I heard rumors somewhere of a Drexler Patch 2 that would fix this problem but of course such a patch doesn't exist. Any ideas?

People have tried and failed. I believe the amounts are hardcoded in the game. besides if there was a way, Im sure someone would've figured it out by now. It is too bad though.

It's impossible to change.....it's hard coded into the game so,
unless you actually modify the games engine...you and all
the rest of us are stuck with those limits.

Yup. The scenery limits are based on the values used in the programming. E.G. - 11111111 - the largest binary number in the program translates into 256 in base ten. There is no "number" like 412 - stored in a memory location that determines amount of scenery and can be found and changed with a hex editor. It is a limit in the 8-bit program coding.

I wish you could have all scenery items... :( If someone could figure it out, Levis could. ;)

No slight to Levis' skillz, but if the best minds of the game who have dismantled and decoded, then built utilities to do things unimaginable like create scenery - all come to the same point in time - that you can't shove two liters of water into a one liter jug, then go ahead and try. We all know that in order to do it you either break the existing jug beyond use - or build a new jug.

Someone can't figure it out without re-writing the entire game.

Period.

That's why no one has done it and the experts don't bother.

Give it up - if you want all the scenery in the world - get RCT3. No limits and a true sandbox. You can't and will never get beyond the RCT2 game limits.

I wont be able to do this ... maybe darkfire would be better able to do it but that would just mean he rewrites rct2.
the only thing I can come up to for tackeling this problem is making the game think certain small objects are large objects and in that way be able to use more large objects.
but I think the game will crash or else display them wrong.

Here's a solution of mine. I use Dr. J's ObjectEditor and remake a lot of my objects from small objects into large objects. This isn't a cheat, but it does open up a lot more room for choosing more small objects. It takes time though, and the results vary from object to object. Also, I am creating most of my new items in large objects so I can use them more readily, as well creating them so they store in the hard wired "walls and rooves" box that the game makes you use. Hope this helps; or even makes sense.
