Just thought I'd throw this out there. For those who've noticed, there is quite a lot more than what meets the eye. The ride is still in construction... but this is the first completed section.

Nice job. Is this going into a park you are creating as well?

Nice job.

Sorry, but it's very hard to tell with that picture...

Well ... that looks ... interesting. Did you not happen to use the screen shot option in rct2, then edit it? Wouldn't that have come up a lot better?

Anyway, about the ride.

It looks nice. Can't tell what that blue - or green - area is. Could be water. The station looks nice, but the colours seem awkward. The coaster track looks very well placed. I like it. Just that the screenshot is not very good. But the ride is great!

The ride seems realistic, and the archy is somewhat good, but that picture is odd indeed.

I'll take the second word, thanks. That pic is just ... a vga pic. Seriously, why do you think CS put the screenshot option? And why did he make screens to be able to be edited? But that pic is very ... mysterious?

Ah well... here is the second half, an overview, and complete layout. $200,000 later and here it is!

I decided to call it Goldrush. It's a pretty compact roller coaster compared to how big the map is (125x125). There is 5,100+ feet of track, which takes the train about 2 minutes and 45 seconds to run. I always try to aim for ride times longer than 3 minutes. On this one I kind of ran out of ideas on how to make it work and still look not n00bish (if it doesn't already). It has a top speed of 61mph and runs 6 different trains with 6 cars each. At any given moment it could be running 144 people through the course.

Part 1 and 2...

What I really like about this one is that how the scenery was created, as the guests are hoisted up the first hill, they get a bird's eye view of a the valley/river below them and the track that awaits. I thought it was something of a cool illusion. I also wanted the first hill to be the tallest, but still be inside the peak of a mountain at the highest point. So it didn't turn out to be incredibly tall. I had also set a top speed goal of 60mph too. So I drove the first drop all the way down, 30ft under which would prove to be quite a suprise for guests.

Overview and track layout...

Kind of... The way I thought about doing it is to build a lot of different roller coasters into one map, but it won't be a park. That way I can do as much scenery as I want around them (or however many objects the game allows me) to show some their potential. Not only that but I really suck at making actual parks :(

Thanks for all the comments guys. Sorry the first picture didn't turn out so well.
