Hey guys. I'm posting this poll for my English class's "Social Issues" assignment, and one of the requirements is to have several primary sources and/or original research. I posted this poll on this forum in particular, because I see it has having a much different player demographic as compared to other forums I frequent, and also the members and the community have proven to me time and time again that they are honest as well as intelligent individuals. Which brings me to my next point. ANSWER THIS POLL HONESTLY. Please, if you have to do a little soul searching, do it, because it will make my research all the stronger. Though I know no one here will do this, please refrain from joking around and choosing the most "humorous" poll choices, as this will directly affect my research for the worse.

My first question, I want you guys to ask how have video games made you change. This means compare your before video games self, and after video games self. Is there a change? And if so, how much of that change comes directly from video games?

The second one is similar to the first, But the first had more to do with how you're mind interprets and thinks. This second one is how you truly live your life. Have video games made you punch your neighbor in the stomach, or were you like that before video games? Were video games responsible for the change.

My third question is fairly straight forward as well. What types of games do you play actively? And the same goes with the fourth question.

I'd like to thank you for your contributions. Feel free to discuss the topic in the room following.

I answered the last question " How old did you start playing games? " as 0-10 because I played a lot of games as a kid.

If however, you meant but did not specify VIDEO GAMES (which this seems to be about) then my answer would be different as "pong" - the alleged first videogame - was not invented until I was already an "adult".

As for the first and second questions - you might want to investigate how to apply a Likert scale if you want statistically valid results...

That last question, I started playing coin op video games back in the mid 70's, the console games started back in the early 80's and computer games was in the mid 90's for me.

Been there done that...

I remember the Coin-op, early console, and early computer games. The wild and wooly west of videogaming.

Had I not dropped so many quarters, I could have purchased my Atari 2600 and VIC-20 sooner.
