Best way is to not look at the more congested and busy areas. Don't forget, it can't handle as much as RCT2.

Lag will occur to almost everyone, but there's a few tricks to help lessen it. Here's a few I know::

Turn down your Level of Detail (LOD) in the options tab. That reduces the detail level when you pan back from the park.
Turn off trees outside of the park.
Disable music.
Don't view the park at night.
Keep your park size down.
Don't use reflective water.
Set your screen resolution for the game to a lower level.
Turn off any background programs not needed.

There's a lot more than other people may want to share.

Also, check the tips (such as they are...) from Frontier HERE

I am trying to follow your suggestions but....

Turn down your Level of Detail (LOD) in the options tab. That reduces the detail level when you pan back from the park.

where do i find that??

Turn off trees outside of the park.

Can`t find that either

Disable music.

Ok that was easy

Don't view the park at night.
Keep your park size down.

I'll make sure of it when i play.

Don't use reflective water.

Where is that set??

Don't feel bad...it IS kind of hidden!

Once you click on the options tab while in game, the page that opens will have a little computer screen graphic in the upper right. There's also some text telling what setting you game originally set for you (Quality, High Peformance, etc.) on a drop down menu. Change that drop down to "Custom".

Just making that change should make a lot of different settings available on the different tabs under options, among them you can disable trees outside of the park, and change the setting for your water.

Another entry will say something about "Enable LOD Options" or something like that. Check that box and the page will refresh showing a number of different entries (Peeps, structures, rides, supports, paths) all of which you can adjust by making the bar next to them shorter (less level of detail) or longer (higher level of detail).

Once you finish setting things the way you want them, leave your computer options level at "Custom".

Hope you can figure things out from this!

I experience lag, too. If you want it fast, you'll want a supercomputer.
