Thank you to all that entered.

The aim this month was to make a Scandinavian Themed park on the workbench provided

We have one winner and one runner-up

1st Place - Xcoaster - XI's Scandinavian Journy - RCT2

Runner up - Jacko Shanty - Madsen Vally Estate

This one was a tough call. Both where good parks that had excellent theming and architecture. Great job.

Rog :D

Wow! They're amazing!

I think i know why xcoaster's one won over jacko shanty's. Jacko's bobsled and mini-coaster don't really look like they have scenery. But if jacko's rides were themed it could of beaten xcoaster's.

But never the less they are both great parks.
Good Job(s)!

Xcoaster - Pretty nice and creative, and although some of the park was merely decent there were a number of cool things, like the huge church, the northern light and that Hamlet thingie. The tan got boring though. Most of the rides was nice and the landscaping was OK. Overall a somewhat good mini, with some nice touches.

Jacko - Nice Tivoli-like atmosphere in some parts, and good job on the danish names. The architecture was mostly good, although I didn't like the actual estate building. The cartoony round windows, that horrible custom brick and those realistic Makonix-towers really clashed. The coasters were nice however, and I like how you kept them realistic by not over-themeing them. The whole thing was a bit uninteresting though, you should have spiced it up more with some cool touches, like in Ghost World.

Nice parks both of you

Xcoaster: I think what won you this round was the originality. Original architecture designs, loved the towers and that church was very cool. Good park overall

Jacko: A nice all round park, with a good realistic feel to it, but it lacked originality. Nothing that hasn't been done before. I feel you could have taken a little more time to add a few touches on it, but it was a solid park.

Xcoaster International Road Rally parks
Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you'll find some screenshots. I still need to finish adding the commentary and information, but you probably don't really need that yet anyways.

Anyways, I'm really happy that I won a contest finally. I had high hopes for this one and I guess it paid off. And thanks for all the comments, it means a lot when you get comments.
"Xcoaster - Pretty nice and creative, and although some of the park was merely decent..."
Yeah, that's what I like to hear. :( But really, there were quite a few things that could've been done better. I should've had wider paths, more path fences, more watered gardens, better architecture, etc.
"there were a number of cool things, like the huge church..."
*That* was actually pretty easy. And it's not my first one either. Over a year ago I was making a Beowulf section in a park that I later canned, and it had a Stave Church, but it wasn't as good because I used the flatter wood rooves. But the main reason I built that one was because I began to realize that impressive giant buildings got good comments. That was also part of why I made this one. And because I've visited EPCOT.
", the northern light and that Hamlet thingie."
I was pleased with the Northern Lights except that they took up quite a bit of space. Also, originally I was debating between a tower or a topspin, but I went with the towers because I thought the bouncing up and down would be kind of like the auroras. And the Hamlet thingie... Yeah. I wasn't too pleased with that on the architectural aspect. But overall I don't think my architecture was that hot.
"The tan got boring though."
Yeah, I know. I didn't want the Viking half to be too colorful, so that's why that was... dull. And the front half I didn't want to contrast too much, so I tried to throw in some pinkish hues. But overall I wasn't too sure what Scandinavian architecture was like, so I tried to be modest and not make too much unusual stuff. Also, I had a similar problem with the Britain Road Rally, much of the park was brown, tan, and grey. :><: See, that's why I like making my Hawaii park. Lots and lots of pretty colors.

And Jacko Shanty, good job. I really liked how you named everything in the correct language. I considered doing that, but I only got as far as having water closets. The only problem with doing that too is that it's hard to tell what the name is in English, so what I usually do when doing that is put the translation in brackets if it'll fit. Also, I liked your architecture quite a bit, personally that was one of the least favorite parts of my park. And your coaster designs were pretty good and realistic, and I really liked both stations.

So... when does my check come in the mail? This is the New Element contest, right? Just kidding, but what about that user title? I'm kind of tired of being a park cleaner anyways.

EDIT: The XISJ page is pretty much complete. It has a lot of info about the rides, especially The Epic of Beowulf.

I thought these two parks were great! I think a lot of time and detail went into each of them and I think Xcoaster's park did edge Jacko's out...but both styles were nice and good job to both of you!
