For some reason, none of the cheats on RCT1 work for me. I've followed the instructions perfectly, but they still won't work. Why?

By the way, I'm new here, but I have all three RCT titles.

I'd love to have an answer for you, but I don't think I do. My RCT1 disc is so badly scratched - I haven't been able to load it for the past couple of upgrades. However, there seems to be issues with using some cheats/trainers in the newer versions of Windows - especially the 64-bit versions. What is your current Operating System?

Also - which cheats are you trying to get to work?

I downgraded my Vista-32 system with XP-32.

The primary cheats I'm trying to get to work are the research cheat and the million-dollar cheat. Funny, I heard three different versions of the research cheat.

I tried a few times in my early days to get that research cheat to work.
I have never succeeded, it may be a lie or it may be something specific to a certain release of RCT (UK, US, etc.).

I have the US version of RCT1. With both expansion packs.

I think that most of the cheats published never work. The 'easter eggs' do. I don't remember them all, but I do remember that naming a guest "Damon Hill" meant that they went much faster on the Go Karts !
