I would of included "a few attractions I created" as well, but the topic discription was a bit short to do that.
With the compleation of Pirate Island under my belt, I've hit the ground running. I thought I would take this full head of steam and go ahead with a project I tried to create a few months ago. The project was lost, as well as several custom attractions that took a few months to build, due to a game crash that wiped out everything. So now that I have allowed enough "griving time" to pass,
before I start in on a whole new design concept that I'm enbarking on a new adventure in RCT 2.
Wish me luck as I take a stab at...
The
Ultimate
Tomorrowland
And yes, this is not just an announcement of a park I plan to start. It is already started, and I have the pics to prove it. Dare I say it? DOZENS of pics! If you had kept close tabs on the development of Pirate Island, I had well over 175 images to share. And this project will be no different. Here on the RCT Space forums, I'll only be able to share the most noteworthy developments, but on the Pirate's of RCT Forum, I'll have the ability to share much more with you, delve into details and take comments and suggestions to heart. But enough of my "blathering", let's get to the pictures of the most futuristic Disney-Style park ever attempted in RCT 2.
Here is the initial starting point. The original scenario kind of developed an "Error Trapper/Kiss of Death",
and I had to recreate the scenario before too long.
But I managed to save structures as attraction saved scenery,
I was able to recreate the new version before I was too far along in the park's construction.
It doesn't look that big now... but with a lot of water, and some tender love and care, it'll grow.
Ye of little faith.
Planters located in the median help to break up the midway and prevent lost peeps.
Two monorail systems are in place over the midways, to help refrain from
taking up valuable surface space needed for the attractions I've planned for this park.
The overall park midway layout. I've discovered ages ago,
that a circular layout simular to this, is the best way to prevent lost peeps.
And that it's pretty close to the hub design style of Disneyland and Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
One of my big bad cheats is putting my food courts underground. Not only saving more surface area for attractions, but I don't have to waste my time making structures for them. They always turn out too big. Keep in mind that the Magic Kingdom also has an underground tunnel system. So this is a tip of the hat in the direction of that imaginative idea.
You think I came up with these ideas on my own?
One of my signature moves is to place shelters along the Midway, for peeps during inclement weather.
This park will be no different. So it too is going to have benches in shelters. This not only keeps the
Midways clear of benches, but it actually thwarts the vandalisim of the benches as well.
