I can't get my mechs to fix any water park rides, so now I have a great water park that's roughly 8 RCT3 years old, but only two or three of the water rides work..
It keeps giving me messages to "Hire More Mechanics" or "The Mechanic can't get to the beginning of the water ride"...
How does this work?...Are there secret "water ride" mechs that I don't know about?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I looked through 20 pages of posts and didn't find anyone with this problem..
I'm sure the answer will make me look stupid, but I'd like my water rides to work..
Thanks for any help..!!!
Take Care,

They should just take normal mechanics. I haven't heard of any 'issues' with them not working on water rides, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened to someone else.
Have you assigned a mechanic just to that ride? Make sure that his assigned area includes ALL the station tiles as well as the entrance/exit tiles, and while I don't know if it makes a difference I'd make sure there's a fairly direct path to the ride.
On the ride's control panel there usually is an icon that allows you to call for a mechainc.

^ What Wagi said,
+ if you have waterrides with separate stations (more than 1 I mean), assign a mechanic to each of these stations separately,
+ check if the pathtiles coming right out of the exit/entrance do actually connect: sometimes you can see this if you look for this; if there are peeps in your park and they can enter/exit, it will be ok also, and if you are not sure, just renew that first tiles right at exit/entrance. (sometimes with hacking, even in quite another area, the paths get broken there without you ever noticing, and then the mechs just never can enter.
If anything helps, please let us know...
If nothing of the above things (Wagi's and mine) helps, please let us also know, so we can search for more on what is going wrong.
Hope it can get solved !

They're water park ride stations, the mechs don't even go on the pool areas, nor do they go on the paths leading to the water ride...(Just to clarify, I'm speaking of the Body Slide, Funnel, etc. the rides that come with "Soaked")...I'm not being condecsending, I'm just letting you know so that maybe I can get my rides runnin' again...
Thanks and Take Care!

Not condesending at all...that helps explain things!
I haven't used the water park rides much at all. I know you have to use a changing room to connect them to your regular park paths, is there perhaps anything for mechanics on the changing room control panel?

I don't think so, I had this problem once, and I forgot how I fixed it (sorry) and then I quit playing rct3 at all (waste of $$$ in my opinion).

If they won't go on the paths, it sounds like their patrol area needs to be redefined.

Once I was working on a water park in scenario editor and wanted to place mechanics on the paths but it wouldnt let me. Then I realized I hadn't owned any land . So maybe that might be your problem.

Well he would need land to build stuff on wouldn't he? unless he was in scenario editor, in which case the rides don't break down.
