After a year off, we're going to Alton Towers this weekend. As usual, it's a stupid amount of money for 2 days passes, 1 days pass for the Water Park, and a night in one of the hotels. Priority passes for 5 rides [but nothing special this year] and early entry into the park on Sunday, an hour before it opens to the public.

And still 2 of our party are not tall enough for most of the rides. Our youngest, who is probably most excited, is wondering what colour tractor she will ride at Old Macdonald's farm this year. :woot:

We thought about going next weekend, when Scarefest starts, but that would have been stupid squared amount of money.

It's too bad how expensive the parks have become. Last year Canada's Wonderland lowered its prices for a one day pass. It will be interesting to see if it has an affect on parks around the world. It might, since Wonderland currently holds the seasonal attendence records; so here's hoping. It sadly won't be in time to make your holiday less of a pinch. That said: Have fun, forget what you paid, go nuts (that's a good thing), and MacDonald's tractors ahoy! :woot:

I doubt it. When oil goes to $100 a barrel then we can pay that the amusement parks will lower prices instead of raising them every year.

Sounds cool I wish I could someday go to Alton Towers. It looks like a really awesome place to go. :)
